July 24, 201114 yr Remember that there was usually a further incentive for people who already owned the album to buy the singles which frequently contained brand new b-sides, which don't really seem to happen anymore - and if they do you can just cherry pick the b-side! I've lost count of the amount of Corrs singles for example that I bought post album, but if they released a new album now, there'd be no point in downloading individual songs that I already have elsewhere. Considering the amount of people that own 21 already, and the fact that it doesn't have a video so zero TV exposure, #11 is a very credible peak for Set Fire To The Rain imo! indeed and the furore over the band artists who gave away stickers and posters lol!!
July 24, 201114 yr Oh really? Havent heard that one! Going to listen to it now! :w00t: I LOVE the Moto Blanco remix! :D I think it's even better than the Moto Blanc remix. Btw, give the remix a chance. The first two minutes are really weird (like a completely different song). It's only about 2 minutes in that it gets amazing. Over a million views on Youtube! :o
July 24, 201114 yr so did the 3rd single struggle? As GD has said, that depended to some extent on whether they had a reputation for putting out good b-sides. Artists who used tracks which were nowhere near good enough for the album might have struggled. Artists who used new songs or ones which narrowly missed the album did OK.
July 24, 201114 yr I think this and Pitbull are the only tracks that have moved in the top 10, an almost all static top 10
July 24, 201114 yr Author Well all static top five/six would be some news too. Sales info will be pretty thin on the ground this week, due to lack of new entries in both charts. :(
July 24, 201114 yr (22) Rizzle Kicks Down With the Trumpets Good tune from them I hope this tune make the top 20 next week

July 24, 201114 yr 01 The Wanted 02 DJ Fresh 03 Ed Sheeran 04 Beyonce 05 Loick Essien 06 Jason Derulo 08 Calvin Harris 11 Adele 12 Nicki Minaj ^ 10 out of the T12 are non-movers. Strangely, I kinda' like it.
July 24, 201114 yr Bounce  It does indeed seem like we could have a non-moving top 12, Pitbull/Example swapping aside :o Unless Pitbull also overtook Jason

July 24, 201114 yr Why are you talking about Nick Kershaw? :/ He's not. He's talking about Nik Kershaw. Who is Nick Kershaw? :-)
July 24, 201114 yr Last time there was an all static top 6 in 2008 No, it happened in 2009 as well - why does everyone always forget about this  Calvin Harris was involved in it that time as well Edited July 24, 201114 yr by Bré

(I can't remember any of them at the moment though) :(
