GO CHRISTINA!! :w00t:

EDIT: She can be added to the growing list of reasons as to why they should make hyped up releases just 59p!! 'Starstrukk' by 3OH!3 & Katy Perry proved that the most so far!

Shocked to see Jar Of Hearts doing so well but admittedly glee made me love the song even more :P

[ps just thought I'd throw this in but... Today's my birthday! :D I'm now 14 ^^]

Happy Birthday Jade!

Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=3677644

Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) suddenly climbed from around 115 to 68. Why did it climb? :o

Probably because it's 59p. Although I might be wrong. I don't have a clue which songs are 69p atm.

As per 'the reason 99% of old songs randomly climb for no apparent reason', that'd be because it's been reduced to 59p.

Hopefully Jar Of Hearts will overtake Next To You soon (and go top 10 afterwards, preferably overtaking Loick but fine if it overtakes Nicki instead as it's far better than either).

Pumped Up Kicks seems to be rapidly alternating between being comfortably top 20 and being just outside it. It's currently at #18. Is this advert that it's on also being shown in the USA? Because it's suddenly climbed from its mid-30s obscurity where it had been for ages all the way up to #4.

Madonna is back in the top 100 with 'Like A Prayer' at #100 - I know it's charting now because it's 59p but does anyone know why it recharted at #199 (officially) 2 weeks ago when it was at full price?

It's climb in the US didn't seem that "sudden" to me.

Although it's amazing how well it's doing over there. It amazes me how well How To Love, I Wanna Go, Tonight Tonight and Lighters are doing aswell.

So in a week, we've had Guetta, Minaj, Rizzle Kicks, Christina Perri, Chris Brown, Maverick Sabre, Tinie Tempah and Foster the People all make huge advances up/into the T20 - although it's nice to a fresh T10/T20, I feel bad for Derulo, Example, Harris, Adele, Loick - who all plummet as a result.

Also: So much for 'JLS overtaking Cher by Tuesday night' - hopefully she'll maintain the #1 iTunes spot all week.

12. Christina Perri 'Jar of Hearts'

26. Eminem 'Space Bound'

31. Jay-Z & Kanye West ft. Otis Redding 'Otis' :left:

39. Pitbull ft. Marc Anthony 'Rain Over Me'

44. Scouting for Girls 'Love How It Hurts'

So great for Christina. Would love her to climb to number one soon as it is very different and much better to what we've been having lately (JLS, The Wanted, Bruno Mars and Jason Derulo :puke:) Unfortunately it won't because the public are too scared to buy non-ADELE female singer/songwriter music :( Great song

Who said JLS would overtake Cher by Tuesday night? (I said yesterday that I expect them to overtake today but I don't recall anyone saying they'd overtake on Tuesday)

But anyway, Adele and Loick haven't really 'plummetted'. Adele has been pushed down a couple of places which happens every week and she invariably gets back up to #11 eventually (although that may not happen this time unless Chris and Christina () both go top 10 and Adele overtakes Loick and Nicki as they lose the top 10 boost). Loick has also only dropped 3 places from being overtaken by Cher, David and Rizzle Kicks. Jason, Example and Calvin may be falling a lot with their single versions but a lot of their drops are compensated for by the versions from Now! 79, same with Katy Perry and Pitbull.

I'm surprised Otis is still hanging around, I'm sure H•A•M was pretty much gone by this stage in its chart life. For me personally 'Otis' just sounds like a lesser version of 'Gold Digger' (with the constant sample going on in the background) and it's a little bit messy, I far prefer H•A•M - hopefully there'll be better on the album because I don't want to be disappointed by this project :(

Hopefully Jar Of Hearts will be #11 soon :D

David Guetta is literally just about to overtake The Wanted into #3 but he's still 20% behind JLS. He could challenge for #1 next week but he needs to increase quite a lot still.

Ms Perri has a good chance of being in the Top20 by Sunday? Doesn't she?

Just out of interest. Why this re-surge for 'Jar Of Hearts' it was released last year? Wasn't it?

Wow, another clearout of the top 10 coming then - saying that, the top 10 effect is so strong that it seems only one song can climb in at a time recently (see Bass Down Low making it but Super Bass not, then Super Bass doing the same thing to Set Fire To The Rain) and make it on the official charts. That's a shame, because I'd like both Christina Perri and Tinie/Wiz to do it sharpish before they lose any momentum.

I think it started with it being used on "Glee", plus it's been quite big in the US recently. More inexplicable is the rise this year of "I Need A Dollar", since the only boost (outside of increased radio and TV support obviously, but I can't think what prompted that either) I can remember it getting was being Fearne Cotton's record of the week which pushed it into the top 100.

Jar Of Hearts was only released in the UK the week of the Glee episode. I don't know if that was a coincidence or if they specifically released it that week here to capitalise off Glee. But it got to #90 officially then and is now reclimbing due to it finally getting a proper commercial push, mostly from Heart FM. Obviously much of its big rise in the last few days (from low 30s to nearly top 10) is down to its price reduction as well though.

I Need A Dollar may have been available last year, as he released the album with little to no promotion. But it only became a proper single this year, with Fearne 'record of the weeking' it being near the start of its proper release campaign in the UK. We just got it really late.

Actually I thought it was already reduced a couple of months ago, That's why I was wondering, but maybe I was wrong and my memory is not that good anymore

Thanks :D

ISTM that's more to do with JLS's sales collapsing almost as quickly, than any credit to Cher... :P

As it is, the songs below #2 are rapidly catching them both.

Wow just realised Rizzle Kicks #7, they may have two songs in top 10 at some point then with Olly Murs releasing in a few weeks (potential #1?)

Next To You #11

Jar Of Hearts #12

^ both possible top 10 contenders soon.

Set Fire To The Rain #13 WHERE IS THE VIDEO?! So annoying now i want a vid!

Till I'm Gone #15 :o Kicking off well now!
