Girls Aloud Not Swag Enough For Cher Lloyd

The X Factor star says the group are ‘too cheesy’.

Despite having Cheryl as her mentor on the talent show, Cher Lloyd has dissed Chezza's band.

Cher confessed that Girls Aloud music is “not to her taste”.

"I didn't listen to Girls Aloud growing up," Cher spilled. "No way."

"Too cheesy, man! I listened to grime, garage, bashment."

The singer also said how she wished she could have performed more raw rap on The X Factor to be more in tune with her personal style.

"If I had my way, I'd be rapping a Lil Wayne track every week," Cher told The Guardian.

That's it, I've lost all respect for the girl!

Oh well that's hardly dissing them... And I'm sure anyone could tell that their music wasn't to her taste - but to call it cheesy when she's releasing turd like 'Swagger Jagger', I mean...?

Hmm, are you sure this article is even real?

And what the hell does 'bashment' mean?

Fair enough, but it's not really something you say when one of the members was your mentor, and helped you get to the final on X Factor :P
Not her fault if it's not her taste could have left it at that just said what she listened to instead.
DS have a multi-page thread on this - just piling more hate on Cher. But yeah, she's just having an opinion. Then again, being Cher Lloyd she isn't allowed that...

Well Cheryl has been solo for a while, and introduced her to will.i.am.

This story is the biggest non-news event of the year

It may not be controversial but my god her attitude pisses me off in interviews. Thinking she's so street and cool, I don't think so bitch.

I love how she says she listens to ''grime, garage, bashment'' but then says she wanted to be perform tracks by Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. Say what now?

Obviously she can't name a single grime, garage, bashment band.

CHER Lloyd says she's got more chance of winning the lottery than talking to Cheryl Cole again.

The mouthy X Factor teen — who was mentored by the former judge last year — revealed that she never even had Cheryl's number when they seemed so close on the show.

Cher, 18, was dubbed a "mini Cheryl" thanks to their similar styles and backgrounds during her time on the series.

When asked if she still had the Girls Aloud star's mobile number, Cher told James Merritt on BRMB: "I didn't have her mobile number to begin with. I've got more chance of winning the lottery than catching up with her."

And the Swagger Jagger singer later confirmed to MTV News that she hadn't spoken to Cheryl since the X Factor ended.

Asked about the 28-year-old, Cher sniped: "Here we go again, everything's about Cheryl.

"I really do get fed up with the comparisons that people make with me and Cheryl. We look nothing like each other, and we are nothing like each other. I mean we don't sing the same type of music, which you will see when my album comes out.

"It's completely different to anything she's ever done. Sometimes it's a big compliment, but yet that's not the way it is.

"I haven't spoken to Cheryl since the show. Not on my behalf, just because maybe she's been busy and I've been busy too. People automatically assume that you're gonna be best buddies. It doesn't work like that."

Cher recently said she didn't listen to Girls Aloud when she was growing up — because the group was "too cheesy".

KISS KISS, SEE YOU LATER CHER. -_-

I'm starting to slowly lose my respect for her now :( I mean, you can't always believe what you read in the press or the internet, but these 'controversial' interviews are coming in thick and fast. And I'm wondering whether all the bad press she is recieving is actually deserved now :(

We can believe this one though. I was going through music channels yesterday and I ended up on MTV during their news, and it showed Cher in an interview with them talking about it. Her tone of voice while saying it was just awful attitude.

Oh :( I've always been a believer/supporter of her, but this confirms my doubts about her. Is there any online videos of this interview?

Pfff, and she shouldn't copy artwork. I mean the Swagger Jagger one reminds me sooo much of Lily Allen's Smile.

I'm sorry, but if we were all being constantly compared to Cheryl Cole (when we're nothing a like - looks wise, ok - I get the comparisons - but that's it) then I'm pretty sure we'd be just as much annoyed. But musically? REALLY? I'll never get the comparisons between their music. Also, she's said why she thinks they don't keep in touch. We've seen an interview (well we have if we watch the video of her in the Radio 1 studio when she premièred 'Swagger Jagger') of her being asked the question and replying (in a sincere and not so bitchy way). I do think some of you are over reacting just a tiny bit just because she states she doesn't stay in touch with Cheryl and doesn't/didn't listen to Girls Aloud because it wasn't to her tastes.

OH BOOHOO. If Cheryl's really bothered about any of her acts, she would have had the decency to stay in touch. She's to blame just as much as (if not more than) Cher, imo.

You can tell shes a mouthy cow. She'll have to tone it down a bit if she wants to get far.
