Is there any hope that song will chart at TOP 40 this week?

Oh dear god. Please don't tell me you have no clue whats going on in your own country.

A very strong chance I would say. Especially if it keeps moving at this speed.

It could. It depends how fast it climbs and whether it can keep it up until the end of the week. It's not certain though.

Promises EP is now down to #6 on iTunes Albums - it's behind Watch The Throne, 21 and three Various Artists compilations.
I do find it strange seeing Sia and Marc Anthony in the top 40! Both one hit wonders from over ten years ago in the UK, on credited songs at least, I know Sia had a top 40 hit with Zero 7

And we've got Benny Benassi too, who up until this year was more or less a one-hit wonder from 2003 (he did have a song that reached no.40, but he was only remembered for 'Satisfaction')

Best post of the week

Nearly another 4 hours later (but these pop bars have been the same for a while and they are as usual behind as they still have Kaisers at #90)

#100 Jessie - PT 5.4195% (+0.0950)

Nero have broken 90% :D

Pop bars updated:

JLS 100% (=)

Guetta ~93.0% (-0.9)

Nero ~91.6% (+0.8)

Cher ~85.2% (-2.2)

Hmm, Ed gained more than Nero in that update  Nero closing in on Guetta though, only 1.4% behind now :cheer: Hopefully #2 tomorrow!

Oh dear god, Why are people downloading this track because of the riots.. Saturdays should have released All Fired Up this week, much more appropriate to what's happening.

 Although, I imagine the people concerned want to attempt to look macho, so would rather buy a rock song than a dance-pop song by a girl group.

BRAVO Itunes what a way to bugger up Christina's chance of no.1 by knocking JOH back to 99p. Well done <_<

Maybe Apple are just big Nero fans? :P

'Promsies - EP' down another place to #7, having been overtaken by another Various Artists compilation - there's 4 of them in the top 6! Just reflects how dreadful artist album sales are... there are only 4 actual ALBUMS in the top 10, from Jay-Z/Kanye West, Adele, Randy Crawford (!) and Beyoncé, the rest are single EPs by Nero and Charlie Simpson and the aforementioned 4 VA compilations (Now! 79, Hed Kandi Ibiza 2011, Back To Life and Anthems R&B 2)

As silly as it seems, maybe Christina Perri's record company thought they'd be losing money because of the track selling well at a cheaper price. They probably thought by increasing the price now it's top 10 wouldn't make any difference and it'd keep selling at the same rate. If 'Jar Of Hearts' ends up as low as #10 in the next 24 hours then it proves the record company have shot themselves in the foot.

Nicole Scherzingers only 0.5% ahead #27 on iTunes. I think Wet should chart at around #35 this week, delighted.

I just couldn't understand why people would download I Predict a Riot, stupid moment from me.

I know its not strictly accurate as we don't have pop bars for anything from 101+ but Nero is at #109 with the Skrillex mix (or whatever its called) therefore is marginally less than the #100 pop bar. Adding on 5.0% to the pop bar (fair bet given the incremental difference between bars at that part of the iTunes curve) would put Nero at 96.6%, not far off #1 and ahead of Guetta (and with the EP added almost certainly ahead of JLS). This is valid for comparison with the top 3 (in fact top 5) as none of them have another version charting in the iTunes top 300.

Actually, based on updated pop bars, version @ #3 = 92.8425%; version @ #109 = 5.2% (say) giving 98.0425% overall, almost #1 based on iTunes singles sales alone. :)
