I haven't even heard the song but it's Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera so it's fair to assume I'd prefer LMFAO were still there. :drama:

The song is brilliant though, it's nothing like Maroon 5's previous work - it's sort of dance-pop/disco. MUCH better than LMFAO anyroad.

Oh, but it's Christina! :( She's releasing another album in 2012 though, apparently. I reckon it'll be huge!!! :D

OH BITCH YOU JUST DIDN'T GO THERE (assuming you hate LMFAO).

Today's top 100 update (8pm positions)

6 new entries today , all due to being reduced to 59p:

  • The Notorious B.I.G. featuring a ridiculously long list of guests iTunes feels the need to credit twice each (P. Diddy, Nelly, Jagged Edge and Avery Storm) with 'Nasty Girl' at #73.
  • David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland - 'When Love Takes Over' at #81.
  • 50 Cent - 'In Da Club' at #91.
  • Semisonic - 'Secret Smile' at #94.
  • Beyoncé - 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' at #95. As with Snow Patrol this is a different version to the one previously reduced to 59p. Also, despite being tagged as 'Album Version', it is in fact from the Single Ladies EP.
  • The Black Eyed Peas - 'Where Is The Love?' at #96.

In addition, two of Amy Winehouse's catalogue titles, 'You Know I'm No Good' and 'Love Is A Losing Game', re-enter at #97 and #98 respectively for some reason, having both dropped out a few days ago. Nicole Scherzinger, Snow Patrol, Mann, Jessie J, Scouting For Girls, Lady Gaga, Kanye West and Jessie J (again) have entries dropping out to accommodate the 8 top 100 entries.

I thought we'd already had Love The Way You Lie that year? :D

I'm surprised it wasn't criticised for double standards tbh - in the video for Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood (), a gif of which occupies my sig, she takes revenge on her cheating husband by smashing up his truck and carving her name in the leather seats (as heard in the lyrics) and both the (utterly amazing) song and video were attacked for the double standards and that if the man smashed up her car it'd be outrage. It is kind of true but the song's amazing so I don't care!

That's true. Although it helped a lot that they used actors in that video. A video of Em beating up Rihanna would NOT have gone down well! :o For so many reasons.

Me too. The video doesn't bother me personally, but I'm surprised it didn't cause much controversy. I could've understand if the song flopped everywhere like it did in the UK, as it could've slipped under the radar, but it was a considerably sized hit in the US (big enough to make the year-end top 100). I think the fact that it was depicted in a very comical way in Misery probably helped a lot. I don't really know the Carrie Underwood song (I'm not her biggest fan ), but that's more what I would've imagined would happen with Misery aswell.

Maroon 5 are horrendous. But if it's any consolation Christina is worse.

Stop bullying Christina!

But did you see what happened yesterday to Christina!? :o :(

Christina has always been a bit of a drama queen, to be fair. But that's so cruel. :(

Loads of people kicked up a real fuss over Before He Cheats for some reason, which I thought was really stupid (I LOVE Carrie, she's my fave singer of all time, joint with Gaga) because it's just a video and it was a great one at that (it was voted the best Diva video of all time in America) for one of the biggest country hits of the decade. I found it funny when Naya Riveria from Glee apparently 'made like Carrie' and smashed the windows of her co-stars car and scratched her name into the seats

It is actually.

Well I don't see Kelly being OFF THE MARK here.

Pumped Up Kicks is being used in a groovy advert for O2, so I can see it sticking around for a while. A pity that, as it will undoubtedly overshadow the release of their next single, Helena Beat.

12. Chris Brown/Justin Bieber - Next 2 You - I hope this can go top 10. Has anybody heard their new song, released today, called "Ladies Love Me"?

409. Linkin Park/Jay-Z - Numb/Encore

488. Example - Watch the Sun Come Up - I heard this again on Wonder Years on Radio 1 today. Probably why it's back in the top 1000.

489. Eminem - When I'm Gone

505. Glee Cast - Jar of Hearts - The original getting popular is probably selling this version a bit too. :D Marry You is also in the top 1000.

525. Scouting For Girls - She's So Lovely

564. Pitbull - Pause - I wonder why this is still hanging around.

554. Jason Derulo - Ridin' Solo - My 2nd favourite song from 2010 probably!

600. Drake/Kanye West/Lil Wayne/Eminem - Forever - Glad to see Drake's new song in the top 100! :D

702. Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost a Thing - I think this is back because it's just been released on a compilation album.

It's #4 on US iTunes! :o I doubt it will do that well here though, but it's promising for the song.

Helena Beat stood no chance of charting anyway, overshadowed or not, so it's for the best that they'll have one long running hit. Helena Beat will have at best 'Hawaiian Air'-esque success (ie. a few weeks in the low top 100)

Jessie J 'Who's Laughing Now' at #86 and Nicole Scherzinger 'Wet' at #121 :D Hopefully both will be big hits!

Well in all honesty, I'm surprised Kelly O is the one to say someone is "fat" when she was getting a lot of stick back in the day... I would have thought she would have known better, no?

Great jump for Jessie there. With the video released next week, it could go top 40 soon!

I hope so, was the video done before or after she broke her foot?! The video might be a bit awkward with her sat down haha.
