Bray just PMed be about it actually.

I read through the last few pages of the thread, and I don't think I want to vote. Good grief! The arguing! :o It's hilarious seeing everybody getting so worked up about it though. And I thought some of the arguements in this thread were bad!

Headlines is so good. It's just one of those songs that's so relaxing to me. Everytime it plays I just go into a state of relaxation. Like all my worries go away. Drake's voice is so soothing on the song. And the strings are amazing. It feels like I'm in a trance when I listen to it. The same happens when I listen to Right There. Beautiful. I'll probably listen to Headlines all the time in the next few months, since I always want to feel that way.

Drake's album is going to go to #1 in the US with huge first week sales for sure. He says Marvin's Room and Headlines aren't the best songs on the album aswell! :o I know he is always going to say that, but if that's true! :o

I love Emeli Sande's "Heaven" I will cry if it misses number one which it sadly probably will do. Still, it's a very interesting battle but Wretch shouldn't win it as 1 - his song is dull/awful/lifeless and 2 - it will drop down the chart quickly while Emeli and Maroon 5 have longevity (Maroon 5 are only starting to get popular so it could be the new 'The A Team' as someone said earlier)

Also interesting to see Modestep doing well, I thought they'd flop after 'Feel Good' underperforming but with Nero and DJ Fresh's success 'Sunlight' is doing better by default.

How close are the top 3? Any chance of Maroon 5 getting to #1 anytime soon?

Hmm I think Emeli has more of a chance to get there first if anything but we'll see. I'd love for Wretch to have reached number 1 on release day but within the remainder of the release week he bombs.

You should vote :) If you want to see previous votes etc go on the pinned rate collection. Yeah I hope headlines gets good airplay and a good peak!

01. Wretch 32 - Don't Go 100%

02. Emile Sande - Heaven 77.1%

03. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 75.1% (Looks Like they're away to go to number 2 soon)

If you just do what you think, and give reasons for your votes, you shouldn't get much of an argument. And it's probably best to just ignore anyone who jumps at you after you've done the rate. I hardly had any arguments when I posted my own. The last few rates have been a bit controversial themselves anyway.

Also, if you care about your own position within the rate, it's probably best to do it, you lose points otherwise.

Hmmm, iTunes... TEAM EMELI!!!

PLEASE VOTE ERIC :( The arguments are what makes the thread, I've been involved in some :P

Oh, and I'm team Emeli too!

This is why I gave you a 10! :heehee: You're so different to a lot of people on here!

02. Emile Sande - Heaven 77.1%

M5 were #2 but Emeli overtook them, so no they aren't 'away' (you mean 'about', right?) to reach #2.

I do hope Will Young pulls a shocker hit like Maroon 5 or something. Jealousy is too good to flop.

By the way, since no one answered this before, the last time the top 3 were all new entries was, unless I missed one, W/E 28 Jan 2006 when the top 3 were Arctic Monkeys 'When The Sun Goes Down', The Notorious B.I.G. etc. 'Nasty Girl' and Will Young 'All Time Love'. (Beyoncé 'Check On It' was also a new entry at #4 that week)

2006 was a great year for music IMO. The charts were really filled with great songs then too, more movement, new entries in the top 40/10 each week. I think the charts might be starting to return to this now :)

In The Dark #58 and #179.

It's top 40 in Ireland right now, so let's hope it rises!

Love it so much, it's been in my top 5 on my Personal Charts for 3 weeks now :P And it's too good to flop...

Don't Go would be a really disappointing number 1, it doesn't really go anywhere. I would prefer either Heaven or Moves Like Jagger to go no.1 because they are both surprisingly good, firstly because heaven is unlike anything I've heard this year while remaining brilliant unlike Swagger Jagger and secondly Moves Like Jagger is the first Maroon 5 song that I think is any good. It's really catchy while not being annoying like all of their other singles, all of this IMO.

I think he might get top 5, here's hoping! Olly Murs will be no.1, with radio one A list and Capital radio giving full support  .

Anyway, go Maroon 5, and Emeli!! Can't stand the Wretch 32 track.
