Charlie Simpson should probably still be top 10 and KIGH top 20 by the week's end, not bad.

really expected maroon 5 to be #1

Are you basing that on the HUGE lead Maroon 5 have on the Irish iTunes? They'll be number 1 in Ireland for sure but looking at #3 or #4 this week for Moves Like Jagger on UK chart unless it climbs further this week.

Really don't get that Wretch song. Would love Maroon 5 to get no.1 but I also love Emeli's track as well. I go weeks without any songs I remotely like being released and then 2 I LOVE show up at once. And to make things worse they're being beaten to the top spot by this year's dullest single.
Dont Go is not dull, for a UK Urban song it is great to see Wretch doing something different, I doubt he will hold onto his lead though.Emeli needs to do more promotion this week but I can see her overtaking him.
Anybody who follows the iTunes chart knows that wouldn't be the case. You're such a douche.

Thank you, for both pointing out the obvious truth to this frankly clueless individual and saving me from having to make an overly offensive post.

Bizarre! An hour ago they were saying Adele was 1K ahead. Now she's 4.6K behind.

Lol... so Nero is #1 in the albums.

Anyhow I'm outta here

Why would you want to be offensive to someone who hopes a song is number one?.

I was talking about the person who gave me a needlessly obnoxious response and rolled their eyes.

I don't know what that means - probably fortunately. :)

This is so weird-The MW full chart is in-and Adele IS Number One!!!!!!!!!

Singles

Ministry of Sound could be in line for its third UK number one single this year with Wretch 32’s Don’t Go taking an early lead over fellow brand new releases from Emeli Sande and Maroon 5.

The MoS single, which features Josh Kumra, is around 3,600 sales ahead of Virgin act Emeli Sande’s Heaven at this point in the week, while A&M/Polydor’s Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera completes a top three of new entries in third spot, according to the Official Charts Company.

Ministry previously topped the chart in 2011with Example’s Changed The Way You Kiss Me and DJ Fresh’s Louder featuring Sian Evans, while Wretch 31’s last single Unorthodox (featuring Example) reached number two.

The onslaught of new releases pushes MTA/Mercury’s Nero, whose Promises debuted at number one last Sunday, down to fourth place, although their newly-issued album Welcome Realty is the top-selling artist album in the week so far, around 4,600 sales ahead of Adele's XL album 21 in second place.

A busy week for new singles is completed by A&M/Polydor’s Modestep showing up as a new entry at six in the midweeks with Sunlight, while Atlantic act Christina Perri is at five with Jar Of Hearts, the same position it held on last Sunday’s chart.

Albums

Adele’s XL album 21 could spend a 19th week at number one this Sunday after opening up a slight early lead at the top with Roc-A-Fella/Mercury’s Jay-Z & Kanye West placed second with Watch The Throne. Nusic Sounds’ Charlie Simpson joins Nero as a new entry in the top five with Young Pilgrim the fifth top seller so far this week with Island’s Amy Winehouse album Back To Black completing the top five sellers in fourth place. This could all push Adele’s 19 out of the top five with it currently ranked sixth.

Mercury act Chase & Status’s No More Idols is the only album among the week so far’s Top 10 positions to experience a sales increase with its 7.7% week-on-week rise helping it lift 12-9 to put it just ahead of Roadrunner act Kids In Glass Houses’ newly-issued In Gold Blood in 10th position.

A newly-released Sony retrospective from the late John Denver is the 16th top seller at this stage of the week, while other new albums set to debut this Sunday include sets from Universal Island’s Jedward and Specific Jazz’s Jacqui Dankworth.

Yes, the bits in bold about the albums seem to contradict each other...

And lol at Wretch 31.

Wretch has a decent lead over Emeli, so he might get the #1 in the end. Whoever gets #1, it'll make for a fantastic #1 imo.

Maroon5 and Christina need to get themselves over here ASAP for some promo.

this song could be the biggest thing either have released in several years, and some promo could nudge it to the no1 spot in the weeks to come if it picks up momentum and airplay.

That's true. Although it would be difficult due to their work commitments.

Although, I heard Kelly Rowland is going to be going touring during X Factor season (I wonder how that's going to work out!), so maybe they could do something.

now i so wish that Will releases his single this week lol :P or previous week :)

Top 40 updates for singles + albums charts added, plus artist updates. Apologies for delay, MW was slow in updating today.

Conflicting as to what is #1 in albums - 2 parts of MW say Adele, 1 part of MW says Nero. Confuzzled.

Perhaps they're just so used to Adele being #1, they're starting to just say that out of habit now.

Someone Like You finally out of the top 40! :o I'm kind of glad though, as I'd rather Love the Way You Lie held the record for the longest run in the top 40 of the decade (although I'm sure something will beat it in the next 8 years ).
