Posted August 18, 201113 yr Joe Mc Eldery and Will Young both release albums next week. Predict who will win that battle! Joe has had recent exposure on Pop star to opera star, and on the back of that has produced an album of covers, Will is 10 years in the business, and this is his fifth album of original mucis, which has had great reviews. Obviously I would love Will to win, but the charts and the public, are both strange creatures!
August 18, 201113 yr I don't honestly see Joe doing much, it may make the top 10 at best I suppose. Will Young should get top 3.
August 18, 201113 yr Wretch32 is out as well, he'll probably get top 5. Top 20 (or maybe low top 10) for Joe and top 3 for Will. Adele will probably end up back at number 1 by default though.
August 18, 201113 yr ISTM Joe will to well to reach the T50! I'm sure it'll go top 20 at least as a combination of his recent promo from Pop Star to Opera Star and the low sales climate and it wouldn't surprise me if he went top 10. Will will (:kink:) definitely be higher though. Wretch 32 will probably be the highest new entry though anyway as Liam says. It'll be Adele vs. Nero again for #1. Edited August 18, 201113 yr by Bré
August 18, 201113 yr I'd like Will Young to do quite well, if only to make up for the fact that the glorious 'Jealousy' probably won't even top the top seventy-five. :( He'll obvious beat Joe as well, and I can't see Wretch 32 bettering him either. Edited August 18, 201113 yr by THEO.
August 18, 201113 yr I personally hope they both flop  However, I can see Will going top 20, Joe will be lucky to get top 20.
August 18, 201113 yr Well the album sales are TERRIBLE, So i think both have chance of being top 5 to be honest!
August 19, 201113 yr im going to go out on a limb with this. joe mcelderry may get top 10. will young however - the sales are so low at the moment and will has a good fan base. he has been getting good reviews for the album and i think he is doin the right sort of promotion (i.e. radio 2). i think it will go number 1

I don't know why people think Will would be so low in the album chart. I think they are in for a surprise. I'm pretty sure it will go number one in week one, and then it will stick around the top 10 for months, it's really the most beautiful and perfect pop album, and its' not just fans saying that. The reviews have been his best yet by a long way.
August 19, 201113 yr Will for win, for sure. But I have ordered the Joe album and not the Will one (yet). :D
August 19, 201113 yr I personally hope they both flop  However, I can see Will going top 20, Joe will be lucky to get top 20. You must be having a laugh. All Will's studio albums have debuted at 1 or 2. Echoes will chart well. Edited August 19, 201113 yr by truly talented
August 19, 201113 yr I think Echoes will go in at one and will hang around for a good while, Joe will get top ten and won't.
August 19, 201113 yr Is this even a chart battle? Will should be in top 5 potentially number 1 and I expect Joe will be between 35-40.
August 19, 201113 yr I think Echoes will go in at one and will hang around for a good while, Joe will get top ten and won't. I think both albums might get an OK peak (due to low sales all round at the moment) but will soon vanish.
August 19, 201113 yr I think its safe to say Will Young will win. He's releasing a cracking new single called "jealousy". McElderry will no doubt flop for a second time as he lacks the appeal and charisma of a recording artist.
August 19, 201113 yr Will also has an ITV special next Saturday after X Factor, 'A Night with Will Young'
August 19, 201113 yr Will has a good chance at going to No 1 (Runaway should have been the lead single though). Not sure why Joe has been turned into the younger, saner version of Susan Boyle, I kind of feel sorry for him and hope he can go Top 30 at least.

Maybe it will be the next single. I've resisted from listening to any of the tracks but if my album doesn't arrive tomorrow I will have to cave in. :P
