 I'm the same, in 2009 I'd have loved Calvin (I still do, it's just FSC is his worst single yet for me) and hated Will (I have never even remotely liked anything with his name on until Jealousy), it's so surreal I'm here rooting for Will over Calvin now :o Olly for number 1 still though

I think Calvin Harris might still shock some people, he's gained 5% in the past 4 hours and has another version top 100. He's around 25% behind Olly, i think Olly will be incredibly front loaded, If Calvin Brings the gap to around 15% come tomorrow I think he will end up number one as his Ep is also ahead on iTunes.

03. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 47.5%

04. Will Young - Jealousy 44.6%

14. Bruno Mars - Marry You

17. Cher Llyod - Swagger Jagger

22. Nicole Scherzinger - Wet (It Pains me to see this not getting radio support and going to be her first song to miss top 10! Hope it makes top 20!! Promotion is really needed next week)

38. Sean Kingston - Party All Night & Sleep All Day

42. Ellie Goulding - Your Song

Calvin FTW! :cheer:
I honestly thought that All Time Love was the last time we'd ever see Will in the singles chart top three. I hope this encourages acts of his kind (i.e. those with a fanbase still but deemed irrelevant to the singles chart) to put great music out, quality can sometimes overcome all of the odds :o
:cheer: So happy for Will!

Me too. Especially with the album also #1 on itunes & on most pre-order charts. :yahoo:

Lets just hope it goes some way to persuade the likes of Capital he & many others ain't irrelevant when it comes to the single chart. There's no doubt in my mind Jealousy would be challenging for the top spot with their support.

Yes, Olly is way ahead at no. 1, but it wasn't a level playing field. However, I'm certainly NOT bitter, Will is still around and doing brilliantly after 10 years, having just released his best album to date, what's to be bitter about?!

Olly is doing fantastically well, and good for him! If he is able to make it last like Will has, I will give him oodles of respect too :)

Capital actually Played Jealousy last night and that one play is the first time Will has had any airplay from them for three years. And Radio One haven't played him for longer than that so his current success without either station tastes very sweet right now. ^_^

Well, Radio 1 are going to play him at least twice this week, in the Chart Update this Wednesday, and in the Official Chart this Sunday.

But Will indeed proves that despite everything you can still get a hit if the song's good. *looks for Sugababes*

Jealousy Now at #3 and #82

Never gonna happen - but would be fantastic if Will was able to do the double - ie tops the singles/ albums charts :D

Although Olly/ Calvin have the top 2 in the bag - although a top 3 for Will is such a fantastic achievement - even if it doesn't sustain even a top 10 would be brilliant tbh

I think Jealousy can hold top 3 with four versions top 300, and he doesn't seem to be slowing down or particularly frontloaded. I do think that Will could get #1 album this week, or easily top 2. Either way it looks like we're on for the best top 3 in MONTHS :w00t:

Really good news for Will, his album has every chance of going to No 1.It is a shame that some UK radio stations will push any American act non-stop but UK acts still have an issue getting decent airplay.

Will only needs 30k plus to bag a #1 album this week.

I never thought Will would get a top 5 single, how times have changed, J.lo and Maroon 5 are doing well after a long break.

So happy for Will Young. Jealousy is such a brilliant such. It's great to see him doing do well.

I'd assume he has the album #1 in the bag.

The thread about who would win the chart battle between joe and will now looks redundant. as expected he will get the number one album, what with only needing 30k and none of his albums selling less than 70k in first week before.

it is amazing to see him doing so well, top 3 beckons and with the tv programme on this weekend he could maybe even overtake olly and calvin for next week, obviously not for number one but at least to sustain some longevity for the single and album.

from a wider perspective we should also be thinking that it means a reality tv act has now joined girls aloud into keeping it going well after the initial buzz. just a shame 'Hope & Fears' bombed cos that was a good song
