She's already filmed a video for it, and it'll probably be the next single, along with "Party", in the US.

Wow! I love both those songs! :D By "along with Party", are you saying she'll release Party and Love on Top at the same time in the US (like California King Bed/Man Down)?

I also want Countdown and End of Time to be released. I love those songs. And I think I Was Here could be a big hit aswell, although I don't like it as much personally. And hopefully Lift Off gets released from Watch the Throne, although they also have an awful lot of popular tracks from that album they could release.

O/T but this year's Children In Need single will be a remake of Massive Attack's Teardrop by N-Dubz, Chipmunk and various other urban artists, put together by Gary Barlow. I imagine Tulisa will just sing the part of Elizabeth Fraser with added raps thrown in.

Cue music snobs...

It's not really music snobbery, more the fact that that song doesn't lend itself to ANY of those artists. It will not sound good regardless of the original.

Well, it depends I think. If they're doing a straight up cover it will probably not sound good. But if they're sampling or interpolating it, it could work. I mean, if N-Dubz have managed to pull off Canon, Bittersweet Symphony and Stereo Love, they might be able to get away with that aswell.

Well you're right, a majority of people won't just write it off totally because of the artists, you have a valid point so fair enough if you're not optimistic about what the final product will be but you're saying so in a valid way. There always has to be someone who doesn't do so sadly, who comes in and berates everything the artist has done just because they dare to touch a precious song.

Thinking about it, it would've been better if they decided to do a remix or mash-up of one of their own songs. Or at least another urban song, since people who listen to urban music are much more tolerant to other artists doing versions of the songs.

I agree, I do think their Teardrop may sound good but they should've done a mash-up of like Pass Out and an early N-Dubz song or something, not a song regarded as a classic that will inevitably attract lots of negativity. Well either way, it's can't be worse than that AWFUL Peter Kay track last year (that beating Russian Roulette to number 1 was like the biggest injustice ever :()!

Wow, Olly vs Maroon vs Example. :D I think Example will overtake both and be #1 tomorrow, but Maroon will overtake him later in the week. I think Ed could climb up another place as well. I'd say (in the official chart)...

#1 - Example

#2 - Olly

#3 - Maroon/Ed

Loving 'Lick Ya Down' by Cove Drive, they are really great!

N Dubz, Tinchy Stryder & Ed Sheeran covering Teardrop for CIN :o :o :o Well, at least that sounds better than another boyband charity song. I just hope they don't ruin it, as it's a great chillout song - I have a bad feeling when this comes out I'll get the original version instead, because N-Dubz & Tinchy haven't released any good songs in a long time :puke:

Well "Party" is being released to Urban radio stations only, so everyone is presuming that she's going to be doing a dual release.

And #11 on US iTunes! :o

She should release it as her next single tbh. Although filming a music video might be difficult for her now.

Being preggers didn't stop Pink or J-Lo filming videos :P

Someone Like You  #37

Rolling in the Deep  #45

:o :D

Beyonce must have filmed all the video's due to her pregnancy? Makes sense now :heehee: So happy for her! She's looking beautiful as always too!

The VMA's are on tonight right on MTV in UK so may boost VMA-artist/songs related even more?

I'm hoping they stagger the releases of the Beyonce videos. If the reason behind them filming is the pregnancy, then it makes sense for her to choose from 4 different singles as the next one. It also puts her in a position to release one as a 'buzz' single during late 2011/early 2012 to keep sales of '4' up.

Example #2

Maroon 5 / Christina Aguilera #3

^ I'm still in shock than M5 have held up so well, but radio airplay has really kicked in. I'm hoping Example can hold a #2 position or climb to #1 - would be nice for him to have a second single to peak higher than the over-rated 'Kickstarts'. As much as I'd like Example or Ed Sheeran to get #1, I think having Olly Murs for a second week will do the world of good - at least it breaks up the string of one-weekers; which'll no doubt resume in the next few weeks.

Example is now less than 1.5% off #1, he will get there but he's certainly taking his time. Hoping for sales of 80k-ish at the very least... :(

Adele - Someone Like You is number one on Usa iTunes climbing a massive 30places from last nights performance.

Example is now #1 - it's such a boring song, and already sounds incredibly dated. -_- Ed's still #4, hopefully top three soon!
