I love this song and her voice. a really haunting song. managed to be quite a shock hit too.
Dropping 2-7 is not "ouch" if there are three new entries above.

It still looks like a big drop to me regardless.

Maroon 5 still top 5 :cheer:

5 :ne: Will Young - Jealousy [D]

Chart Run: 5 [1 wk]

Release date: 21-08-2011

Format: download only single

Label: RCA Records Label

UK singer, Will Young, a politics graduate, shot to fame in 2002 as the winner of the first series of the UK reality TV programme, Pop Idol. Young racked up record-breaking advance orders of 1.2 million for his debut single, the double a-side, "Anything Is Possible/Evergreen". It went straight to the top of the charts in March, going on to become the best-selling single of the decade in the UK. Despite the poor critical reaction to his debut album, FROM NOW ON, Young won over his critics through sheer hard work, his constant touring helped maintain his media profile. The hard work paid off in December 2003, when the single "Leave Right Now"--written by original Brother Beyond member 'Eg' White--and his second album, FRIDAY'S CHILD, both topped the UK charts. Young's critical rehabilitation was complete by the time his third album, KEEP ON, was released--to favourable reviews--in November 2005. - HMV

Aaw, too bad for Will at #5 but it was always going to happen as he fell further back on iTunes through the week :(

Still hugely impressive comeback for him though, his first top five hit since 2006!

I quite like how we're getting high new entries in the chart at the moment, but at the same time you can't write off a song because it debuts low either. Best of both worlds. Just wish there were *more* new entries in the top 40.
Slightly gutted Will couldn't keep top 3 but he does have the no.1 album and it just means Maroon 5 are higher than they were in the mids :)
loving the new will young sound. been hearing this a lot on music channels, it's quite a soothing song.
Shame this didn't manage to go top 3, I wanted another all new top 3. Still beautiful song, and I never thought it would get this high!

Will Young down to 5 - didn't expect that! I was sure his TV special would just about keep him there, no all new top 3 then :( oh well, we still have an all new top 2

This is a good song, add him to the group of artists who've had a rebound in 2011 after years of little activity!

Surprised how well Jealousy has done when the last single from the GH album Hopes & Fears bombed. Quite like this, would have been nice if it was still top 3. The sales between 3 and 5 must be very close!
I like Jealousy but I think it's a bit overrated in this forum.
Congrats to Will Young on this beautiful song, my favourite in the top 40 at the mo.
Hope Wretch is not top 3.

I'd like more new entries aswell. I mean, Give Me Everything and Beautiful People have been around an awful long time...

I'd like it if they played all the new and re-entries in the top 75 before going into the top 40.
