The Sats remix bundle and extended mix of the song have both fallen as well. :(

They're just not cut out for traditional releases are they? :(

No idea, The Saturdays deserve a X-Factor slot more than The Wanted even though I like both groups.....

They've been here longer and The Wanted got put into X-Factor when they weren't even THAT big then...

Well, Simon probably just took more of an interest in them than the Saturdays, it would get the younger female audience watching though :P

Maybe The Saturdays should've pushed back their song until Sugababes release date, it's a guarantee #1 then :P
EUGH :( Stupid bitch'll only spend like 8 weeks top 40 anyway, as usual...
Honestly if they get the #2 they should be pleased! Everyone was counting them out. And there's no guarantee Pixie will stay ahead on iTunes + The Sats have physicals so it's not over at all yet.
Gutted for The Saturdays, Tomorrow is their major promotion day though so who knows they might somehow reclimb to number one, I doubt it though. Pixie's performance on Red Or Black was just too much. Saturdays were most likely number one for longer on iTunes, Just iTunes kept freezing, gutted for them.
by no means is it over for the saturdays. pixie has got the boost for the Red or Black appearance. her previous singles that peaked high drifted towards the end of the week so its all open. makes for a very interesting chart battle
Telephone didn't get to #1 on iTunes but still went #1.

Boys and Girls as well didn't go #1.

And I think Poker Face didn't go #1 on iTunes until Sunday as well.

*facepalm* I should know better than to crack a joke in the iTunes thread. :(

That's because JLS are from the X Factor! The show is obviously going to favour it's own produced artists. Not to mention, the X Factor viewership would be interested to see past contestents perform, since they watched them in the previous years.

I do like The Saturdays, and want them to be #1, but I can understand why they haven't performed on the X Factor before. Especially when they can get people like Britney Spears, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry to perform.

They might be from the XF but they weren't winners. And how many runners-up performed on XF up to then? 2-Rhydian and JLS. How many other non-winners performed more than once? JLS. I don't dislike them per se but I think their music is generic and I feel strongly that they were given preferrential treatment (pushed down our throats) by the Cowell&Walsh machine- they saw the little girls running with the parents' money to fill their coffers.

And there's no logical explanation of why The Saturdays weren't allowed when, besides the big acts you mentioned (some of them even embarassed themselves on the XF) we've had the above-mentioned The Wanted, fresh after one single but otherwise unknown, endless Westlife, Boyzone and Robbie when they weren't at all relevant, Take That and Girls Aloud on a constant basis and the huge pimping of Cheryl Cole, Shane Ward's lifeless return, Diana Vickers etc etc.

Allowing for the has-beens and the oldies and the 'singer-turned-judge' , how would you explain The Wanted and Diana (remember the scandal around her copying that song?), then? They really were nobodies at that point, even more so than The Saturdays.

As I said, I am not a fan of The Sats but I do think they have been screwed for certain opportunities.

Pixie Lott really IS the new Billie Piper of our generation... 3 #1 singles that will vaguely be remembered by the public years down the line.*

*Although "Day & Night" by Billie is fantastic, while none of Pixie's are.

Sorry, the post came out as quite serious

No way, All About Tonight is an awesome song to remember by :yahoo:

And being serious... who is Billie Piper?

Pixies big promo has been and gone, all she has left is Lorraine which will do barely anything. The Sats have still got Alan Tichmarsh and Jonathan Ross this week..plus physicals will put them 5k ahead of Pixie straight away. It's not over people!
awww i remember with billie piper when she released her third song the same week b*witched released theirs and both had two number ones beforehand.
Love them or hate them, but you can't deny that there's always an exciting and unpredictable chart week when The Sats release.
