I thought Adele would be there in October as well as getting a slot in the final.

I mean, 2 X factor performances would mean that 4 million by the end of the year is pretty much locked...

I reckon there's a chance Florence + The Machine will get on.

I came into this thread to see if anyone had posted this idea - I think it's a definite possibility. She's become a big feature of awards shows and I think her choice of instruments is perfect for a 'spectacle' type performance. I imagine something along the lines of when Shakira performed 'Did It Again' - except with harps amongst the drums.

I can somehow see Adele snobbing XF.

I mean there is no reason for her to go there NOW. All her songs are big hits but they will be old material by the time XF lives are on really. XF is for new (or new-ish) releases, it is not like her to go and promote songs she released many moths ago just to milk some extra sales! And it would be totally unnecessary too!

If she has a new album out in 2013-2014 I bet everyone will be dying to hear it and she will have all kinds of invitations. She should neither rush the new album nor start milking extra sales with pointless XF appearences. She has proven she is not that cheap by refusing to re-release the album :cheer:

(plus she is not experienced enough to play the mentor role in the final... Adele is class not junk she should draw the line)

Adele

Beyonce

Britney Spears

Florence & The Machine

Lady Gaga

Pixie Lott

Nicole Scherzinger

Tulsia

Kelly Rowland

Dappy

The Wanted

Jls

Jessie J

Children In Need - Teardrop

Rihanna

Who is Tulsia?

A middle-eastern bisexual belly dancer ;)

I must admit, it'll become a bit of a joke if Rihanna and Michael Buble are invited back AGAIN.

And please no Take That/Robbie Williams. Robbie was on three times during XF6 and then twice during XF7 (both times performing The Flood!!).

Is is a he or a she?

Bollywood's got a leg in XF now? :

EDIT:

Robbie solo will be there 100% and no need to ask why. (he is having an album out before Xmas)

Perhaps they will do a group song special appearence with Gary (and the rest 3) when Progress Live is out too

But Robbie mentoring 1D at the final was totally unnessecary imo...

When they choose mentors they should pick sb fitting what the mentored act wants to be like imo. And 1D have nothing to do with Robbie same way Olly had nothing to do with Angels (why didn't they sing something more uptempo?)

I'm pretty sure the BBC won't let the CiN song be performed on X-Factor, not until a while after CiN anyway.
As Bray has pointed out, I think 'Love You More' was performed on XF before anywhere else. So wouldn't surprise me (considering who's involved) if this was the same.

I predict flop for Papi :( However, I imagine her GH next year will be a big seller, if she times it to go alongside AI.
Her and her label are STUPID if they're going to release her Greatest Hits at any other time, that isn't Christmas. Greatest Hits collections sell 10x better throughout Christmas than they do any other period of the year. So if she releases it in May or something, then that'll be a wasted opportunity.

I really, sincerely hope not. I'm pretty sure I've read her slate XF in the past too. It could be someone else though...

In numerous interviews Adele has stated that she loves The X Factor, dearly. So I don't see why she'd snub the offer to appear on there...

Why not Rihanna? She's (arguably) the biggest star on the planet right now, so Simon isn't going to deny her a spot, is he?

Gosh. You have a high opinion of Adele. :drama:

I think Adele will definitely be invited. She's the biggest artist of the year, and she can always perform a track like Turning Tables or Rumour Has It which are quite popular but not incredibly well-known, all over radio, etc. I don't see why she'd turn it down either. She'd not go down in my estimations at all if she performed on it.

I genuinely still believe she owes a HELL of a lot to The X Factor. As I seriously don't believe she'd have been as big as this if MYFML hadn't blown up the way it did after being used on the show

EDIT: Of course it would have been a big-ish era for her, but I don't think it would have done as well as it has been doing. Maybe a little more successful than her debut...

This thread depresses me, seems like if any of my favourite acts are going to live up to expectations with upcoming releases then they need to perform on the X Factor. Florence might, Coldplay could possibly, but they're not really the type of band that should NEED that exposure. Simon Cowell must be laughing, he basically has an ever-expanding monopoly on the singles market. Each year you get at least two or three new X Factor graduates scoring big hits to replace the ones of yesteryear that have fallen by the wayside. Something has got to give soon, the market is becoming too saturated.

I can't see Adele snobbing The X Factor tbh. First of all, she's not dumb and goes to ALL major shows to promote her stuff. And secondly, she's a fan of the show, she has said it a few times and she even covered a Cheryl Cole song on Live Lounge. I think she will be on, unless she's sick (which it seems to happen all the time to her).

Florence on the other hand... idk, most rock/indie acts would say no to an X Factor slot. Like Coldplay, for example. Those who are taking seriously usually decline (or aren't even invited anyway) with a few exceptions (Sir Paul). Oh well, we'll see...

LOL no she's not. Gaga is bigger than her, so is Adele. She'll obviously be on TXF though...

That's debatable considering the album is breaking records all over the world and The X Factor only impacts the UK.

Read the post you quoted, properly. But I'd still disagree, personally but that's just myself.

That's not a matter of personal opinion though. If you look at sales and repercussion, which are the most important things, both Gaga and Adele are much bigger. Adele album will sell more than Rihanna's entire discography and she can get a hit single with 1/10 of the effort. Gaga may be the same size as Rihanna in the UK but, worldwide, she's much more well-known and has also sold better than Rihanan's entire discography with 2 albums and one E.P. (not to mention she trashes her in concert ticket sales, critical acclaim, etc). I prefer Rihanna over Gaga but c'mon, there's no way she's bigger... its debatable she's even bigger than Katy Perry for god sakes.

I'd say besides the massive worldwide first weeks of Born This Way (song and album), Rihanna is bigger than Gaga at the moment. She's not bigger than Adele though.

For the record, I'm comparing the 'Loud' era with the 'Born This Way' era and ignoring all the previous albums by both.

"Loud" has sold only around 1Million more than "Born This Way" WW, and its been out for much longer, BTW will surely pass it in terms of sales eventually. But i agree in terms of singles sales Loud >> BTW.

BTW will surely take a LONG time to make up that million though given neither album is exactly selling in vast quantities any more though? To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if Loud starts selling more than BTW worldwide again soon. (The last update from mediatraffic.de gave BTW's worldwide sales as 75k, with Loud on 38k, although I think these figures are a bit inaccurate)

Besides, I did say 'ignoring the massive first week of BTW', which takes away, what, 2 million? of its total.

They may level out eventually and have similar overall sales, but Rihanna has no doubt outperformed Gaga in the singles front. Gaga does still have a few more singles coming though which will no doubt boost album sales (especially if she chooses the right ones  ), and a huge tour lined up too.

Well, Labrinth has a single out on the 23rd, and as he's a SYCO artist, he'll have a slot on the show.

Others?

Leona, Cher, JLS :puke2:, Wand :puke2:, Olly, any other syco acts.

Rihanna will be there with her new album out. I see Jessie J being wheeled out. Britney, Kelly Rowland, Beyonce if she's not too big. GaGa possibly.

Usual suspects
