September 18, 201114 yr Nero is such a non number 1, a terrible chart run! (single and album!) Edited September 18, 201114 yr by danielw2k1
September 18, 201114 yr 62 N 2 Mazzy Star Into Dust I ADORE this, but I can't think of why it's made a sudden return to the chart?
September 18, 201114 yr Author Four album tracks from Ed Sheeran's album have made the top 100 :o One more than David Guetta two weeks back and just one less than Lady Gaga managed after the release of The Fame Monster. Not bad going at all. The fake version of Loca People is at #92  No sign of One Direction's Na Na Na, looks like it may have been disqualified after all because I'm sure it sold enough to make the top 100... September 18, 201114 yr The Vaccines' longevity has been really good, shame their total sales won't be.
September 18, 201114 yr So happy Dolly Parton has two songs in the top 100 and her album is still top 20.
September 18, 201114 yr 40 N 1 Tony Bennet & Amy Winehouse Body and Soul 67 N 1 Dolly Parton Together You And I 70 N 1 Hayley Westenra World In Union Three artists I'd never have expected to see in the UK singles top 75 with new material again if I'm honest, good for them! LOVE the top two on both the singles and albums for the first time in a long time this week :D

LOVE the top two on both the singles and albums for the first time in a long time this week :D This is the first time ever Hayley Westenra has been in the top 75 singles :o It seems to be a Rugby World Cup song - I thought it was just a random album track from 'Paradiso' that was doing well on iTunes for some reason but that makes a bit more sense I suppose. It seems bizarre that 'Jolene', which is top 100 due to being reduced to 59p, is not Dolly's highest entry. Edited September 18, 201114 yr by Bré

Yep. Almost every Rugby World Cup time we get a version of either "World In Union" or "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" making the charts, possibly after use as the TV theme?
September 18, 201114 yr Author Hmm, Semisonic's 'Closing Time' is #76 - this year has been a bit of a revival for them, it's their second song in the past few weeks to re-enter in the low 70s after 'Secret Smile' got to #77 when it got reduced to 59p. Does anyone know why 'Closing Time' is back? I checked and it's not 59p. Maybe it was and it's been put back up (although it's 79p rather than 99p)

September 18, 201114 yr Great to see Delilah enter the top 40 :D real shame Coldplay was inelligible as it's my favourite song from them in ages :( not much to comment on apart from that, and I know this is the wrong thread, but Ed's sales are really impressive, that must be the best debut sales in months
September 19, 201114 yr 62 N 2 Mazzy Star Into Dust 67 N 1 Dolly Parton Together You And I 70 N 1 Hayley Westenra World In Union Amazing that these get recognized.. So Westenra is there because of the WCH in rugby but why the other two? What's the fixation with Into Dust btw, as it charted in 2009 as well?

I think it was on an advert when it recharted in 2009 also.
September 23, 201114 yr Apparently the UK has no taste. Just how those little talentless morons Wand Erection be at number 1 ahead of the talented Maroon 5. Maroon 5 single is #1 worldwide. Probably most of last weeks singles were bought/downloaded by 8 year olds.
