It's fair to say this is the week of CRUSHING UNDERPERFORMANCE.

One Direction back up to #3  They may be back in the top 2 soon then, possibly remaking the WORST TOP 2 EVER but this time with the worse song at #1? DEAR GOD. Sak to stay ahead please.

OH DEAR. 'Radioactive', 'Shake It Off' and 'Invisible' are all great songs aswell. 'Invisible' will be lucky to go top 75 now, I expected it to at least go low top 20.

Expected both Marina and Florence to be doing a lot better - but I think the former in particular will benefit more from EP sales. Much like Snow Patrol, Kasabian and You Me at Six, I reckon Marina could only peak in the 30/40 region and still debut in the top half of the 20-30 positions.

Florence, on the other hand, may struggle to reach the T40 - which is a shame. I've held back on purchasing WTWGM and now SIO, will be buying a physical copy of the CD at the end of October instead.

One Direction's tour tickets went on sale yesterday (not that I'd know by ALL the girls in my school posting 'OMG GOT ONE DIRECTION TICKETS IN 2ND ROW <3' -_-) so maybe those brainless teenage girls forgot they already had it and re-downloaded? But yeah, Sak Noel to stay ahead please, it's actually LISTENABLE. As is MLJ. Just a shame we can't have Florence at number 1 and Skylar at number 2 with Marina top 5 and RD top 10...
It just doesn't make any sense to me, that 'What The Water Gave Me' can race up the chart into the top 10 without any airplay at all, and 'Shake It Out' which has had rather good airplay is struggling to make the top 40. I just don't see how it is possible that at all? Especially since 'Shake It Off' has had probably a better reaction than 'WTWGM'.

Shake It Out had two weeks of airplay, has no video (I think?), no hype and no attention being drawn to it by Florence's twitter or anything. I didn't even know it was out this week until I saw people talking about it on here. I couldn't understand people predicting top 5 at all.

MLJ would be my favourite no.1 for ages. I wouldn't mind seeing 1D up to 2 either considering it's still better than having Dappy or Sak Noel there. Although Iris being top 2 would be even better.

I never expected 'Radioactive' or 'Shake It Out' to be huge as Florence especially is more of an albums artist, but I do wish they'd get a move on and would be doing better. Real shame about 'Invisible' though, it's really grown on me recently and I thought it could at least manage top 10, but no :(

I'm in the 7th row :D :kink:

It's nice to see Marina doing better than Florence for once. Though it won't be that way with their respective albums as Florence sold 1.4 million of "Lungs".

why was florences new single not given on air on sale status and then released after 2 weeks of building airplay?strange strategy.whens the video out?

pretty exciting week in belfast with rihanna being here filming the video for the new single down the road from where i live!!!

If LMFAO overtake Pixie to go top 10, it will be an all male lead artist top 10! :o Last time it happened was around the same time last year  (when Just The Way You Are, Cooler Than Me, Barbra Streisand etc. were around)

Wow! :o That's strange, since music has seemed female-dominated this year overall.

There was also a week before that in 2010 with an all-male top 10 I think. It was like Jason Derulo, Iyaz, Eminem, Dizzee Rascal, Sean Kingston/Justin Bieber or something like that. Everybody on here hated it so much. It was hilarious.

Wow. I'm so jealous!! :o In the news they said a farmer told Rihanna to put on some clothes or something. I hope she didn't, because I want the song to sell well because she's really beautiful. Since she's lived in the Carribean and the US most of her life, she's probably not used to coming to a country where it isn't appropriate for women to walk around half-naked. :(

OMG by Usher was released in a similar way to that Florence song. It had a couple of weeks of increasing radio airplay before it was released, and debuted at #14 iirc, then climbed to #1 a month or so later, so maybe Florence's song could climb aswell.

nah she made the mistake of filming it in a farmers field who is one of those stupid evangelical christian unionists(like ian paisley) who dominate politics in this state - once he saw her take her clothes off he told her to leave haha how embarressing for here, shell never be back!!

then later in the day she filmed in a housing estate in belfast itself with hundreds of wee girls all going nuts trying to get her picture, it reminded me of the shut up and drive video as she was being driven around in an old white car - will be funny to see the video on mtv and think thats near where i live.....still annoyed by how long the song is being held back - it should be released straight away!!

That farmer should fly over to America and work for FOX. I would imagine his political views are quite conservative then, if he's telling Rihanna to put clothes on. :drama: On the news, they said he didn't even know who she was at first either! :o Even I feel a bit embarrassed really, since it's made the news all over the world, and they probably think people here do nothing but drink tea, eat crumpets and victimize young attractive females (seriously, are ANY women that aren't overweight liked here anymore?). :(
