It was FFTT! I was just sorting my iTunes at the same time and came across Breakeven (strangely) so the coincidence of it all made me out it instead

I thought I was hearing things then

Yeah. LTWYL and Fly in one episode! :o And Who's That Chick? on Strctly, which I've just watched, and the version they danced to sounded like one of the cheap cover versions you find on iTunes.

I don't think What's My Name? would benefit though (unless Ofcom do another investigation into the performance ), since it's really the more ballad-y songs which see a boost. So something like Unfaithful would more likely see a boost.

Moves Like Jagger was used on Strictly earlier, Harry Judd from McFly danced to it and got the highest score. So a bit of a boost for that I'd imagine.

Yup, Sak Noel's top version is now down to 62% -_- ~79.4% with his 3 versions combined.

'Moves Like Jagger' also used in the background for X-Factor.

Marcus performing 'One Big Family' was interesting - it's a shame that the song didn't spend longer in the T40 - it was a ballad I hoped would sell well.

Sak Noel's DECREASED (I have it right this time :P ) more than I'd expected.

Sak Noel probably hasn't decreased that much, Maroon 5 are just pulling away because MLJ was used on Strictly. (Sak is probably decreasing a bit anyway though)

Moves Like Jagger looks very likely to FINALLY get #1 then! :o It's lead is really quite big now, thanks to the extra promo.

*Its

I was expecting it to be #1 next week anyway but it could actually do it with decent sales now it has this extra push (unless the boost all wears off before midnight ). Fair play Maroon 5, fair play.

I dunno. X Factor have another show tomorrow, they could pop out another surprise.

And One Direction have overtaken Dappy, didn't realise that had happened. It's the better song anyway.

Dappy's fall with the single version is probably cancelled out (/ was probably caused) by the 'new' version from Now That's What I Call R&B which is in the low 70s.

No one performs anything though, it's just where they drag out 'I'm sorry... You're not ready.' or 'Honey, I believe in you, you're in my top 4!' for an hour  Though they could use something as prominent background music I guess, I can hear Someone Like You soundtracking the emotional 'I loved you but you messed up and you're not ready for this' cliche moment.

Do you think any song that was preformed will having a boost in the charts next week?

Edited by ukchartstatsfan

Me too. It's not exactly got much of a melody does it?

This is a bit random, but I noticed E.T. and You and I have very similar drum patterns, like the "kick kick clap" from We Will, We Will Rock You.

"You and I" officially samples "We Will Rock You", I'm guessing with "E.T." they picked a similar drum pattern because it's one of the few slow drum-led rhythms that doesn't sound particularly funky.

'Someone Like You' is back up to #33, supposedly entirely due to the performance of it that Liam didn't bold (meaning it was just a short clip)

59. Wherever You Will Go - Charlene Soraia

I assume this is a cover of The Calling's song of the same name - anyone know what this is doing in the chart?

EDIT: It doth appear it was only released yesterday. Doesn't explain how it's so high though!
