We're actually getting the chart battles out in the last few weeks, aren't we. Bring it on! :D

Why would he be dropped when he hasn't even released an album yet?

While 'We Found Love' definitely isn't in the same league as the likes of 'Umbrella' and 'Only Girl (In the World)', there's something about it that is really infectious. Something that OG (ITW) also had.

Rihanna might not be as vocally strong as Whitney and Mariah but boy does she have a more appealing voice! I think that's the key to her success (along with Stargate/Tricky of course). It's just so appealing!

I think he was joking - considering there is no other male winner on Syco at the moment and most don't last after the release of their second single.

I really think the voices of the likes of Whitney and Mariah are massively overrated. Okay, they may be technically brilliant, but it's physically uncomfortable to listen to their oversinging at times.

On the flipside while Rihanna's voice may not be as technically impressive, I find it much more 'listenable'.

100. Fix You (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

-_-

159. Fix You - Coldplay

:D

WHY THE HELL is Fix You highest? :/ It's the first proper good ep musically (the first two episodes have been great plotwise, but that's another story) with It's All Over being FANTASTIC and the other songs being great too. FY is OK but wasted on Will, tbh I think Finn or Puck would've done a much better job of it! Not that any of that matters to Glee haters (they'll just be unhappy at them 'murdering' a 'classic' :P) but that's in my mind!

*insert generic 'wow at Rihanna :o ' comment here* :P

my opinion on this is that she won't do it this week and will debut at 3, I think she could well get it the next week, but Gym Class Heroes or Matt Cardle look more likely, I think it's a question of how well it holds up, considering atm there's not much going for it apart from the names involved (I know I've said that before and I will stop now  )

Glee covered Fix You?! amazing choice, I haven't seen the new series yet

Fix You is the highest because Fix You is by a country light year the best song of the episode.

Not necessarily the Glee version, but the song itself.

What about Run the World?

What about Run the World?

 I assume that is a joke?

Spot on, Rihanna has such a unique, distinctive and appealing voice. There's just something so special about this woman, and it shows in her incredible success. I mean she's back to having 3 songs in the top 40 again (one of which is #1!)

#1 - We Found Love

#12 - Fly

#21 - Cheers (Drink To That)

I assume you are trying to be funny?

Fix You was the best song of the episode, I haven't particularly been motivated to listen to the original in full, but the Glee version sounded very good! RTW was a bit of a mess, but the whole 'performance' of it was very good. RTW is the better 'original' song imo.

What about Run the World?

If you want to listen:

Not actually the whole thing, but it's more about the performance tbh. It's All Over was imo the best song of the episode, I just really am not keen on Will's voice at all and thus I don't really like Fix You.

Completely agree.

Anyway, they aren't even technically brilliant anymore. Songs like 'We Belong Together' and 'I Have Nothing' I can stand, but there are somes songs - by Whitney in particular - that are seriously over-sung that it completely kills any emotion they had in the first place (see 'I Will Always Love You').

Not trying to be funny. More astounded by the fact anyone can think RTW is better than Fix You in any version.
