November 23, 201113 yr Reggie really, I guess he is stepping down from the Radio 1 chart show. Wishful thinking...
November 23, 201113 yr Me neither, and I'm not a big fan of Holly or Jessie. Glad I didn't get through now
November 23, 201113 yr oh dear at Reggie-he wasn't very clued up on the US show when discussing it on the chart a few months back (well it was in realtion to Moves Like Jagger so Radio1 were probably trying to avoid speaking about that song longer than they had to). With Jessie J on the panel as well this could actually become as car crash as X Factor.
November 23, 201113 yr Author Did you audition Tom? :o Reggie is alright on TV actually, I can't stand him on the chart show but I will give him a chance on The Voice. I love Holly and Jessie though so it's turning out good ^_^
November 23, 201113 yr This needs someone like Saint Keisha on the panel, coz Jessie J just sounds shit. Holly W is alright and I'm neutral on Reggie, but shows like this are all about the judges anyway.
November 23, 201113 yr Not fussed on Reggie, but hopefully having Holly there will make him more watchable.
November 23, 201113 yr Did you audition Tom? :o Yep, and I think that the high point of the series will definitely be the talent, I had to sing in a room with 10 other auditionees, and 3 or 4 of them were absolutely amazing, and none of them got through :o So I think anyone who made it through would have to be incredible.

Woah :o It's a shame you didn't get through :( I remember on the US version, only 1 person got 4 'yeses' although it worked differently. But (as the title says) it is all about The Voice so I guess it's just about making that huge impact with just your voice.
November 23, 201113 yr That's true. I have a decent voice but the preliminary auditions aren't actuallly blind, maybe I didn't come across well (plus I did screw up a big note )
November 23, 201113 yr Reggie Yates? I'm sorry WHY? Are they really that hard done by for knowledgeable/DECENT people in the music industry? It boggles me, it really does. I echo whoever said this is going to become an X Factor style car crash. Just stick on Jonathan Ross and Tina Barret of S Club whilst you're at it.
November 23, 201113 yr Annoys me how much hate Jessie J gets, she's clearly talented but just has a big personality (which I personally adore), it's the same as Alexandra Burke - both get SO much hate. It baffles me. Hoping she turns opinions around on this!
November 23, 201113 yr Annoys me how much hate Jessie J gets, she's clearly talented but just has a big personality (which I personally adore), it's the same as Alexandra Burke - both get SO much hate. It baffles me. Hoping she turns opinions around on this! Was coming in here to say a similar thing. She is the 2nd biggest solo female artist of 2011, and has quite a big fan base (and is capable of holding a note in TUNE) so she will bring in viewers. There is nothing wrong with her personality either. From what I've seen she's quite likeable and she seems to know what she's talking about.
November 24, 201113 yr I dislike Jessie J because I find her overrated. Her voice is so average and nothing special and don't forget the awful screeching on Who You Are. I also don't believe she's established enough to judge anything. She's never heard of PJ Harvey which isn't something you'd expect from someone who's supposedly into music. She just seems to want to be a personality more than a musician-and she isn't even much of a personality. *Awaits arresting by the Jessie J police*
November 24, 201113 yr That's ridiculous ... she wrote many songs for others before she made it big and is very passionate about her music (anyone who's seen her live will tell you this), she's very much in it for the music rather than being a personality. Fame just comes with this career tbh.
November 24, 201113 yr The first part I'll just ignore as it's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but LOL at the rest of it. Just because she hasn't heard of PJ Harvey, doesn't mean she's not into music. What an ignorant and "music snob"ish view on things. If it wasn't for reading PJ's name a lot on this forum (although I don't think I've actually listened to any of her stuff) I don't think I (and I'm presuming it's the same for a few others on here) would have known who she is. Posts like that annoy me. The whole "I know/like a certain musician so I'm better than you" attitude. She doesn't have/need to know who PJ Harvey is.
November 24, 201113 yr Author Someone's a neg Nancy... I barely know who PJ Harvey is either, I do enjoy a few of her tracks though. Plus it's hardly Tulisa not knowing Aretha Franklin :P
November 24, 201113 yr I never said it meant that she isn't into music, only that it comes across this way. PJ Harvey may not be a massive commercial success but Jessie J should have heard of her before September this year-just because. I hate the term 'music snob' because it's used on here by people who throw their toys out of the pram when someone expresses a dislike for an artist they love. If you actually saw what music I listen to, you probably wouldn't use the term. I don't think jessie is established enough to be a judge. She's barely been around a year. She may have written songs for other people but so have a lot of other people who have been around longer and are more established. And you really shouldn't harp on about 'not getting' why someone doesn't like someone else, only to 'ignore' the opinion/explanation when it's put across.
November 24, 201113 yr I can see Dizzee Rascal doing this, he needs to get his profile back up and he's clearly got a need to have his ego massaged as he judged that show on sky. They'll need an old male judge to be the Simon Cowell, maybe Cliff Richard. LOL at Reggie saying it's gonna be a credible music show, it's gonna be looked at the same as Idol and X Factor by the music industry.
