That's possibly the worst line-up I've ever seen, will probably still end up watching this though!

He's not a star but Danny gives the illusion of the show being credible plus he brings a different musical perspective. He's been in a boyband a while back and The Script are very mainstream so this isn't exactly a massive leap for him.

Tom is the wise older head you need on a panel like this and tbh his track record speaks for itself, he has a great voice, he knew Elvis and he's sold alot of records.

Will.I.Am ups the current star power, tbh he knows music even if he doesn't know how to sing.

Jessie J has a good voice and is the most popular current homegrown talent we have atm excluding Adele.

It's the BBC who give us strictly Come Dancing FFS, it coulda been a hell of a lot worse! X factor will have to react to this, their panel just doesn't stand up to it.

I'm underwhelmed by the Script singer... I've never been able to understand why they're as big as they are and now he's deemed famous/successful enough for this. Tis a bit baffling. (But then Dannii Minogue and Tulisa were chosen for The X Factor so I'm not claiming he'll be rubbish at this at all. Dannii in particular was an inspired choice.)

I would have preferred Will Young who has been through a similar experience to The Voice and has never been scared to speak up about shows like this. I will watch regardless though and the rest of the panel is impressive in my opinion.

I think it's a good line-up. Good mixture of youth and experience.

I imagine they dumped Will Young for Danny because the latter will be more of a ratings winner, plus more young girls are likely to watch, which if course is the shows biggest demograph.

How weird, I did Break Even at my audition

Decent line up IMHO, chuffed about Tom Jones

Ooft Danny is SO hot

Not that fussed on Tom or Will.I.AM but I love Jessie and I guess Danny is a good (if unexpected) audition. Looking forward to this now!

Seems they want to go more rock. The Script rock are they having a laugh.

Danny chosen over Will for only one reason. He's the UK equivalent of Adam Levine, pretty straight guy. More popular personality than Will in the UK I very much doubt it.

Wonder how many of the rest of the panel, like Will have given their spare time to run workshops and mentor up and coming singers.

Not an awful panel. Danny Script (as I will refer to him from this point onwards) is preferable to Will Young IMO and I'm pleased to see Tom Jones wasn't just a rumour.
Yeah Will Young would annoy me tbh, he's got a good voice and is a talent show success story but he's a bit nice and dull. Danny is a bit of a wildcard, an un usual but shrewd choice IMO.

Astonishingly awful line-up. Danny Script is probably the best one there, a slightly out of the box but still interesting choice. Jessie J might pay off in terms of getting a younger audience in. Will.i.am... there truly are not enough mansons in the world. Why get somebody who can't sing in to mentor a competition called The Voice? It's not as though he as a solo artist is even especially well liked in the UK. Tom Jones is a baffling choice, he'll stand out like a sore thumb.

Holly is just horribly insincere. I knew the BBC would cock this up.

Hmm, initial reaction was "well that's a bit of a limp appointment" but I'm warming to the idea of Danny Script. At least we won't get the "well, as a former reality show contestant" line after every performance like we would have with Will
Decent line up I would have prefered Will Young over Danny though, my only quibble with Will.I.Am if a judge decides to leave half way, will Cheryl Cole appear in place of.
What a dire line-up of judges. I shall be watching in spite of this for the potentially very talented singers.

What a disappointment of a judges line-up

3 males & one female

They should ditch Will.I.AM and bring in Cheryl Cole or Katy Perry to even things up a bit.

At least he can sing live which is one thing that your fav Cheryl could never be accused of.

The show is supposed to be called The Voice. Oh well there's always auto-tune for the experts.

Wasn't it you who berated Marcus Collins for being 'like a girl' too? Do you have something against GAY PEOPLE?

Hopefully Jessie and Danny will be the better judges in this. Tom Jones gets on my nerves so not looking forward to him. From what we saw of Will.I.Am on X Factor (mentoring with Cheryl and stuff) he seems a bit bland.

I don't think he likes ANYTHING.

I think Peter Robinson from Popjustice has the right idea.

"I'm still so angry about the whole The Voice fiasco that I'm going to invent a show where Will Young is every judge and every contestant. It will be called Will Young Idol and the ultimate prize will be to be Will Young. There will be minor controversy in the first live show when Will Young votes off Will Young. However Will Young will be brought back in halfway through to replace a disgraced Will Young. Will Young will then make it through to the final three, but it will be Will Young and Will Young in the final. Will Young will win."
