I hope that there is plenty of disappointed teenage girls. His voice is truly non-existent but I also do NOT get how anyone could find that attractive - scrawny and a hair like a scarecrow with the added bonus of having some slags name's cheeply tattooed on his arse. How this gets people swooning I will never know.

It doesn't - but Gary and Louis think young girls, the kind that will vote, do! I don't think the fact that he got only about 3% of the total votes this week has sunk in with them. They're two middle-aged men who think they know what the young girls like. It doesn't cross their minds that young girls may actually LIKE music. TBH - I'm just as annoyed at Tulisa and Kelly for pandering to their whims!

Frankie is crap but we're stuck with him for a few more weeks I'm afraid. Got the feeling poor Marcus will get the 'dead-man walking slot' (coupled with an awful song choice) and Gary will be waving goodbye to another of his acts.

Agreed. And yeah I have the feeling that Marcus will be the first of the 3 remaining boys to go, which makes no sense when he is by far the most talented imo. But its all about attention and airtime which he doesn't seem to be getting so I think he will be a goner soon

Coincidentally, I was talking to people in my department at work about X Factor yesterday. I made a prediction to them that next weeks bottom 2 will be Sophie and Marcus.

I would love to be proved wrong as that means the programme isn't predictable after all.

With X Factor rock week means anything with an electric guitar. Or rock in the title.

Random predictions

Rythmix- I Love Rock and Roll

Sophie- Since You've Been Gone or Forever Is Over

Janet- Use Somebody

Marcus- I Kissed A Girl

Craig- song by a woman so he can pull a gay-attitude face!

i'm bored now

Johnny to sing Bohemian Rhapsody

Well rock is a better theme than Heroes, I'd like something like:

Misha - Fighter by Christina Aguilera (not strictly rock, more influenced by rock but I'd imagine it'll pass for Rock by XF standards!)

Janet - Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac (she needs something uptempo)

Sophie - My Immortal by Evanescence or The Only Exception by Paramore

Rhythmix - I Love Rock N Roll by Britney Spears (yes, I'm aware it's not the original but I can't remember who was the original artist :P)

Kitty - Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush

Sami - Alone by Heart

(only did it for the ones I care about, I am aware Britney isn't rock but by XF standards it is :P Kate is also debatable under rock but we won't go there!)

I'm DREADING it if Johnny's singing Kate Bush, I very much doubt she'd even give permission for her music to be used (you do need permission right?) and even if she did he probably wouldn't, but there was a news story on DS that he loved her and she could be classed as rock... So I kind of hope the rumour above is true, but then again I don't want him murdering

Abba

either  But I echo Sabrewulf, how is it rock? Perhaps the theme really is Heroes? Or that was a choice before it changed? If it changed at all, of course it may have just been a false rumour and it was rock week all along.

I really hope that won't be the bottom two - they're by far my favourite two!

Sadly, I can see it happening though.

Can you imagine if over the next couple of episodes the only act Gary is left with is Frankie? Because I can see Craig going awry at some point too!

Frankie's odds to go are now 5/1, in third place, only behind Sami and Rhythmix (the former I cannot see being bottom two), so IF Frankie falls in the bottom two again, which I don't think is impossible, he'll be eliminated hopefully :D
Gary's putting FAR too much into Frankie, when we know he has 0 chance of still being there in 3 weeks time. He may be safe this week but he'll likely be gone the next. I mean we got Moves Like Jagger and Russian Roulette for Marcus plus Best Thing I Never Had for Craig, all awful song choices, but they worked (kind of, though I didn't like either of Craig's performances he did OK, and Russian Roulette was surprisingly good. This statement is excluding MLJ which for me was AWFUL), whereas Frankie got great song choices for him, but f***ed them up!
How is

The Winner takes it All

rock?

I was thinking that myself haha but this is the x-factor after all :P

It's The X Factor. One of the men in ABBA played guitar didn't he? So in X Factor land guitar + "Rock Week" = ABBA.

I want Frankie to perform that "rock" classic 'Too Many Broken Hearts' by Jason Donovan. Why not? It has guitars in it after all. :(

Misha - Fighter by Christina Aguilera (not strictly rock, more influenced by rock but I'd imagine it'll pass for Rock by XF standards!)

Rhythmix - I Love Rock N Roll by Britney Spears (yes, I'm aware it's not the original but I can't remember who was the original artist :P)

Oh LIAM! You know I have love for you but some of these choix are SHOCKING. I Love Rock n' Roll is talent contest suicide (besides being one of the worst songs ever written). You might as well give them Venus and have done with it! Fighter is just one of those songs which nobody can realistically pull off and put their own stamp on unless perhaps it was to be re-worked entirely as a slow ballad or something alone those lines. Watch Tyla's performance of it on X Factor Australia and you'll see just why it doesn't work. I can't really recall any particularly fast, loud and rocky pop song ever being done successfully on the X Factor. Misha is brilliant with a midtempo and that's what she should stick to.

I had totally forgotten Tyla's performance! What a mess that was :drama: I really can't think of anything for anyone, weirdly Janet and Sophie are the easiest two to imagine. I'd argue Misha could pull off Fighter though. My choices are likely to be a million miles away, they'll just end up counting Kelly Clarkson, James Morrison and Jason Mraz as rock. If

Abba

passes as 'rock' then it may as well be sing any song you want week!

I'd love someone to do Patti Smith's Because The Night. I think Craig would do it brilliantly but I'd be curious to hear what Misha would do with it. I think Misha could be a bit of a revelation in Rock week.

TBH though - I just wish they would sing Rock songs and not do X-Factor-Lite Rock like they usually do.

It isn't. The X Factor doesn't care about that though.

The original I Love Rock And Roll is by Joan Jett.

If The Winner Takes It All is classed as rock, I dread to think what else they class

:( I get a horrible feeling Janet is going to be given I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing :drama: I swear that better not happen, Frankie will probably be given the 'down but not out' treatment this week and get ridiculously overpraised -_-
