No matter what the justification for it is, I don't see how it could be considered 'fair' that somebody who has missed weeks 2-5 is there in week 6 when other contestants slaved away week in week out. It's like getting a free pass to heaven. RIDICULOUS. The worst thing is that you can very well imagine they had this planned even before Frankie left because they wanted an excuse to bring Amelia back in, probably ever since Kelly chose Sophie to stay in fact.

The fact is whatever the producers did, they were going to rub some feathers. It's a catch-22 situation. If they re-instate The Risk they'd risk upsetting Johnny's fans and vice-versa. It must be an incredibly hard and stressful decision. Bringing back four contestants that were voted out over a month ago does seem a bit of a ridiculous decision, but let's be honest it's the one that's going to give everyone the least flack. It is sort of fair, although it's painfully obvious there is only one winner out of the four! The fact is it had to happen. Putting Johnny/The Risk back in sort of renders last week pointless.

And then NOT putting someone back in just makes no sense at all. Economically they'd lose out of so much money, and there would be far less excitement around the show with guest performers and the like. Ratings will be much bigger with 3 finalists, and they'll have so much extra money through ad and voting revenue. I don't think the producers really care about annoying some people with the way they do things, as it doesn't stop the masses watching the show.

It's an entertainment show, not a singing contest. It's good light hearted fun to watch over the week. The show has zero sense of credibility, and I find the actual winner can sometimes lose more than they gain. They must have some excellent workers at SyCo as they have had some great marketing and PR campaigns in the past, but at the same time, I think some of them don't have a clue at all.

Johnny didn't go out on the public vote though, which is the point I was making. He ended bottom 3 but not necessarily bottom 2. We don't get to find that out yet.

This is far from the best solution and I wish people would stop saying that the producers need to 'resolve this mess'. I think it's pretty certain this has been planned for a while and when they couldn't ditch Frankie in the double elimination they decided to implement it.

The only other way they could really so it is to have just 2 in the finals

Craig is doing

Paparazzi

 So that means

Little Mix will get the death slot with Just Dance or something and go :( I'd rather they had either a Gaga/Queen mash-up or a Queen song for something different...

ARGH! Gutted Craig's doing that song! Was hoping

Little Mix

would get it.. But who knows - They could get

Bad Romance or Born This Way?

Just also read Little Mix

have definitely got a Gaga song.

We've got to hope, I'm terrified Tulisa will give them

Just Dance

though, which would be FAR too generic. If they could just pull off a Queen track I'm sure it would show off their full potential.

Well, Little Mix are doing an uptempo this week as on the X Factor site they've said "If we're still here next week, we'll slow it down and do a ballad" or something like that. It's going to be

'Just Dance'

isn't it? I do love that song, but it really will kill them off. I can't see them (or anyone other than GaGa) pulling off a performance of that very song.

I actually can't see Craig pulling off Paparazzi, I don't know what it is... Maybe I'm just hopeful he'll end up bottom 2 :P
Craig will do the same performance of standing in one place looking boring and with no charisma. He looks so bad on the M&S ad I hope he does not win. I wonder why so many of the acts are backing Jonjo to come back into the house, was he really that popular?

I still think Amelia will lose out to Jonjo (and possibly James - who seems to be gaining more and more fans online!). Hopefully not though. Oh and if Amelia IS in, what's the betting she'll do

'You & I'

? She sang it at Judge's houses before, but Kitty's already performed 'Edge of Glory' twice!

Here are their "voting pleas":

So Jonjo's going back in, isn't he? :drama:

I swear if it's James or Jonjo, I am boycotting the rest of the show  I'm fairly sure it's easily gonna be Amelia though.

Shouldn't you be happy you're going back in?

Why would you boycott it? All of these people HAD THEIR CHANCE.

Those voting pleas make me feel downright ill. Amelia makes me feel uncomfortable too, there's something very off about her. I can't pinpoint it. Maybe it's the fact that she's got such a hard face, she looks about 45.

It looks like God has heard my prayers, will it be another Diana Vickers scenario.

@Deanpiper

So Craig Colton has missed his dress rehearsal and X Factor are not sure he's going to be able to perform. Severe sore throat..... #xfactor

Well I hate Craig but if they're bringing back a contestant from weeks ago who has missed 5 live shows, Craig can surely miss one? Either that or he'll still perform and be crap, but 'sore throat syndrome' will mean it is hailed as the performance of the night....
Voted to get Amelia and Jonjo back in (yes I know I can't have both). Jonjo's voting message sounds like someone held a gun to his head.

I know exactly what you mean Jark. It's the overuse of make up imo. The exact same thing happened to Sophie even though she made the final 12.

If you look at them in their first audition both girls had a natural beauty about them. Sadly they then got madeover by the make up team FROM HELL (see "VT promo clips with the blue background"). They looked absolutely ridiculous. I suspect the make up artists are blind. Or just very bad at their job. Or both. I hope I never get a makeover by them. ** shudders **

I championed Amelia to win originally but I don't think I want her back. She comes across as dull offstage as everybody else left in. 2 Shoes please.

Scratch that, just bring them all back and call them The Risk.
