Amelia seems to have really shaken things up a bit! Would be weird for her to win though..seeing as she's missed out on so much, but we'll see anything could happen as there isnt one AMAZING stand out this year that you reallly could say they will win.

None would make it WW, i dont think its possible for any of them, it'll be hard enough finding it in the UK i think, Misha B could do well with singles, and Amelia may do a Pixie Lott kind of album (better vocals ofcourse), Craig/Marcus/Janet could do well, too early to properly say I guess.

 

Need to catch up with performances now.

I cannot feasibly see how anyone could call Janet's Somebody To Love anything other than abysmal but if he thinks that then fair enough. Some people are gonna like it, Louis Walsh did :P

janet also delivered once again, doing what she does best. it is baffling how she gets so much hate though... I've pretty much accepted that people just hate her for the sake of hating. c**ts will be c**ts.

Doug's opinions/looning for Janet and hating for Misha with very little reasoning or substance never fails to amuse me.

Watched it now and thought they were pretty much all terrible, utter borefest of a show.

You can hate someone whilst still saying that their performance was good. At the same time you can really like someone and admit that their performance was sh/te! I neither like nor dislike her Janet. I neither like nor dislike Misha. No way, on god's green earth though was Janet's performance anything other than the worst of the night.

Digital Spy are creaming themselves over Amelia despite bringing out the hate brigade when the votes were open to go back in! I did a thread on 'Your favourite performances of the series?' and did my top 10 (Misha's Purple Rain was 1 with Amelia's tonight at 2 - I felt it too early :P) and everyone bar two had it at number 1, one had it at 3 and another only did a top 3 and it didn't feature at all. She's also leading their front page poll. What a fickle site :lol: All the hate threads have vanished too..

Hmm true, I read she was singing it and I was like 'WHAT :mellow:' because I just knew there was no way she'd pull it off. The conspiracy theory-ist in me wonders if she was deliberately given a crap song choice (not that I don't love the song, it just was awful for her) to engineer this whole big comeback twist?

I still really liked it but in the grand scheme of it all it's my least fave of hers so far, I just scale it down in comparison to the likes of Purple Rain, Rolling In The Deep and Tainted Love. Still, it's better than Craig's best (Jar Of Hearts).

I thought tonight's episode was TERRIBLE. Whoever thought a Queen week for this group of vocalists was a good idea needs fired, there's no way any of them could do a Freddy track without sounding horribly out of their depth. The only way would be to go á la Marcus and completely change it up, but even then that was a borefest. The support for Little Mix mystifies me too, aside from ET they've been BORING. Like one of those annoying PARTY KARAOKE CLASSICS cover versions of songs on Spotify. Misha is the only one with any hope of doing something even remotely interesting after this show.... honestly, who would buy a Craig / Kitty / Janet etc album?

Finished watching it, don't know why I bother... Amelia was good enough, kept interest in me, but only her and Little Mix were really enjoyable tonight.

An engaging performance, and decent enough vocals, not as good as previous weeks, though

Shame it looks like she'll probably go now.

 

Craig - 5/10

Too slow for him. He sang it well, but it was just too sleep-inducing.

Picked up in the latter half of the song though.

 

Little Mix - 9/10

LOVED THAT YET AGAIN! Radio Gaga bit was clearly just done for the theme's

benefit rather than LM's, but Telephone was amazing throughout. And Perri can SING!

 

Janet - 2/10

Oh dear. Boring. I'm feeling really lethargic here now. :zzz:

 

Marcus - 7/10

One of Marcus' better performances. Definitely felt good.

 

Misha - 5/10

Uh oh. Not a good song choice for Misha. It just all felt a bit of a mess.

I remain convinced that Born This Way is a terrible song to perform.

 

Amelia - 8/10

A fairly good note to come back in the competition on, so much better than

her week 1 performance! Wasn't perfect, but a rendition of that song I'm always

going to like. BEHIND HER!
