Rihanna has ATM more than 33% of advantage above JLS on itunes...

I believe Rihanna will be above 80K this week, which means that daily sales are around or even above 10.000 a day. So if u do the math... Rihanna sold AT LEAST around 3.300 copies more than JLS. Its not that difficult.

What was difficult to believe is that JLS was #1 when they havent been ahead on itunes for a second

Well that's at the moment. If you average out yesterday, you would say it was about 75% for the day on average. I think it does amount to about 2500-3000. But JLS have an EP and I would estimate about 500 CDS. Hence my shock, because I would have expected Rihanna to only gain about 2k yesterday not 3.7k +!

But, I'm not complaining! :cheer:

Bruno Mars 'Just the Way You Are' hit #1 for the second time four weeks after its first stay at #1 last October. Then after that was Adele who returned to #1 in March after a week's absence, so Rihanna will be the first since then.
yep, found it.

Black Eyed Peas' Boom Boom Pow: 1 - 2 - 2 - 1 ...

Lady GaGa's Bad Romance: 1 - 3 - 3 - 1 ...

Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are (Amazing): 1 - 2 - 4 - 2 - 1 ...

Rihanna is number 1!!

Lol, it really isn't difficult to comprehend. I didn't know you were a member here. :P

it's disappointing to see coldpay at#6... by sunday they possibly could have only 2 consecutive weeks inside the top5 :o

These returns to No 1 are becoming more frequent.. possibly because of these front loaded releases temporarily interrupting genuinely popular songs' chart runs at #1 - Someone Like You would have had 6 weeks if it weren't for Scherzinger and her awfully generic "Don't Hold Your Breath".

Anyway great to see JLS fall to #2.

Equally brilliant to see Birdy continuing to fall! :D

The sales of MX have been far lower than their last 2 albums not only here but also worldwide. It's very strange as although MX isnt their strongest album, it is definately a refreshing addition to their discography. Has it even gone platinum here yet?

Yay at Rihanna going back to #1!

Typical that the only song I really like by JLS is their worst performing lead single so far.

Anyone know where Nickelback - When We Stand Together is currently in the charts and do you think it will make the top 40 as its been in the top 40 of itunes most of the week, thanks.

It only entered the top 40 on iTunes for the first time yesterday.

-x-

Rihanna back at #1 for sure now then. Fingers crossed Labrinth can also get back to #2 although it's highly doubtful.

You have been praying hard for this all week. JLS are already working on album 4 so not long to wait for more memorable classic songs from them.

Album sales are so low, Syco have been having a run of bad sales of late other than 1 Direction which is good to see.

Great news all around then - Rihanna set to make her chart run for 'We Found Love' (01-01-01-03-02-01) - which is just fantastic. Shame that JLS don't collect their sixth solo #1 (eighth in total) - but 'We Found Love' is indeed the better of the two singles.

I wonder how well 'You Da One' will do chart wise upon release Sunday. I think a T20 debut it's likely - what with the amount of hype building around the 'Talk That Talk' album. Other new entries are One Direction, The Collective, Lady Gaga - any more?

Is 'You Da One' actually being released on Sunday or are we gonna get it like 2 weeks later again? I think it'll debut top 10 in any case.

One Direction, The Collective, The Saturdays and Westlife are all out next week - big release week (especially if Rihanna adds to it as well). Should definitely put an end to Maroon 5's top 10 reign, although I bet they'll find a way to survive anyway.

great :D (although my younger sister won't be happy  ) TACOM isn't bad as such but its a weak Bruno Mars rip off that I doubt will be remembered in six months, can't have songs like that at number 1...

Anyone placing any bets for Westlife missing the top10 :D

It'd be their only single out of 25 releases to miss the T10 - but 2010 lead single 'Safe' had a chart run of (10-21-43-65-93) - appalling for a T10 hit. Clearly the band's popularity is decreasing and their releases remain front-loaded - I'd expect a T15 debut at best - people will be more likely to purchase the album (knowing it's the last one).

One Direction surely set to debut at #1/2, The Collective are surely T5 (may climb during the week and will receive a rise in sales the following week after C.I.N on Friday and a possible X-Factor performance on the Sunday). As for the Saturdays, they could debut anywhere within the T10 really - most likely frontloaded, so #4-7.

All in all, Charlene Soraia or Maroon 5 / Christina Aguilera (depending on which of the two holds a T10 place come Sunday), LMFAO and Pixie Lott / Pusha T are all set to fall out of the T10. Saying that, so is Cher Lloyd, so Maroon 5 could potentially manage a 14th week inside the T10!

How is Cher Lloyd still no.5 in the singles chart when the song is a lot lower on iTunes? Surely the physical single isn't selling that much?

Well, if it's not released on Sunday here like it's going to be everywhere else, then it can be cherry-picked off her album a week later anyway.

I don't think One Direction and The Collective will sell over 100k like I originally thought before I heard the songs. I think The Saturdays and Westlife will struggle to go top 10 to be honest
