August 24, 201114 yr I may have to start tuning into Radio 2 more frequently with the knowledge that Katie Cole and Carrie Underwood are getting played, amazing :o The Carrie duet is lackluster sadly, it's mostly Brad Paisley anyway :( But the fact her name is on radio at all in the UK is amazing, if it was one of her Play On singles with slightly late UK release I think I'd actually be dead
August 24, 201114 yr Are Hurts rereleasing Wonderful Life? No website seems to have it listed anywhere and it seems a pointless rerelease as it was their highest charting single.
August 24, 201114 yr My tastes have become decidedly more Radio 2 this year it has to be said  The B and C lists are far more preferable to me but I think I'd take Radio 1's A List, Dolly Parton, Chris Rea and Glen Campbell aren't really my sort of thing! I only prefer theirs because they have Maroon 5, Will Young and others such as Blunt & The Feeling on there. Also Christina Perri, Snow Patrol, Pixie Lott, James Morrison & Lady GaGa being on the playlist really makes me prefer Radio 2 because I like all of them as they suit my taste in artists :P I don't mind Radio 1's playlist though it's just some artists that have been ignored by Radio 1 suddenly or have been all the time are getting supported by R2. So for that I prefer Radio 2 currently :P Edited August 24, 201114 yr by Rob Summers
August 24, 201114 yr Radio 2 is much better than radio one. They A list great artists, and their presenters are far less irritating. The also play some brilliant oldies, like today they played 'I wanna be Elected' by Alice Cooper, not heard that for years, great song, great memories :) Radio one, on the other hand playlist Cher Lloyd! Nuff said! Edited August 24, 201114 yr by fatmuffin
August 24, 201114 yr I was aware of Radio 2 playing Elated prior to it being in BJSC, but I'm glad it's been added to the playlist officially now. I actually really like The Other Woman and think it's a great single choice! I agree that the Radio 2 playlist is FAR better than Radio 1's. They must be the only radio station in the land that still plays Ding-A-Dong and The Dooleys on a fairly regular basis!
August 24, 201114 yr aww, i really like the brad Carrie duet, obviosily she has better songs by herself, but soo great to see her on the playlist, oh and love that Lady Antebellum are the record of the week, i love just a kiss!
August 24, 201114 yr Gaga is a surprise addition. It just shows how very 'middle of the road' this song is.
August 24, 201114 yr For some of you acting surprised to see GaGa, "Alejandro" was A-Listed on Radio 2 as well.

August 25, 201114 yr For some of you acting surprised to see GaGa, "Alejandro" was A-Listed on Radio 2 as well. As true as that may be, i don't think it really needed a  at the end.
August 25, 201114 yr Beverley Knight Cuddly Toy :o I'm guessing this is the second single then? Yep, it was announced a few weeks ago. Its out next week

September 15, 201114 yr I like how James C**t's new song is essentially a dreary MOR version of Maniac from Flashdance.
September 15, 201114 yr I like how James C**t's new song is essentially a dreary MOR version of Maniac from Flashdance. I thought it reminded me of something else and The Feeling's new song "A Hundred Sinners" has a chorus that's exactly like "Matromony" from Gilbert O'Sullivan.
