Well I've never been referred to as a nazi before-and just because I thought Janet was crap last night and though she came off badly in her VTs? I actually have praised Janet in the past and for a while thought she was improving. But the last few weeks she's gone back to square one. And she raped one of my all time favourite tracks. I and everyone else have a right to voice that opinion. Anyone who can't handle it really should stay away.
after reading this thread I think I reminded myself why I left this site a while back, because it's full of f***ing nazis. it's like, if you have a view that's different to the popular members then you're just going to get shit for it. what the f*** is this, fox news?! -_-

it's not even about being a fan of janet, because if most of you actually enjoyed her good performances ('fix you' and 'kiss me') and admit to it then that's totally fair, but no. you're all as 'delusional' as I am, and you know what? I'm f***ing PROUD of it. okay? janet was bad with her 'mmmbop' performance, yes. but any sane person beforehand would have told her that it wasn't going to work and she would have chosen something else. but as you're all judgemental twats I'd assume you're going to hold her to that forever. the whole judging her after saying one thing about her music taste is just completely pathetic as well, you don't know her.

that's my rant over and done with, and now I'm just going to fade into the background because it's probably f***ing better that way.

You seem to forget that you give Misha and Misha fans shit every week. There is nothing remotely Nazi about admitting Janet was crap last night and it is delusional to state anything else.

Janet was terrible, possibly the worst performance ever on the X-factor stage.

Enjoyed reading your posts so Good Luck on Digitalspy.

...and it is delusional to state anything else....

This is his whole point, to be honest. We're all allowed opinions and you can't just knock them down like that, calling us delusional. I enjoyed Janet last night. Yes, I'm a Janet loon, but I would admit if she went wrong.

But in MMMBop she FORGOT THE WORDS! How can you go more wrong in a performance?

But she DIDN'T! She stopped herself from throwing up. Would you rather she just threw up in the middle of her performance? And to be honest, it was a small segment. The rest of the performance was fine.

At least twice she stopped singing and repeated a line she'd already sung because she CLEARLY couldn't remember what the line was. It was not a good performance, possibly one of the biggest car crashes on the show. She didn't look at all like she was going to throw up.

Oh dear god. Full meltdown mode.

Who cares if Janet was the worst last night? Marcus needs to go because he is forgettable and that is 10 times worse than being bad

Thats the thing. The reason it was so bad wasn't that she just forgot the words (or was going to throw up) as all the Janet fans seem to be claiming. Infact, the first note she came back in with after forgetting her words was far worse than the fact she forgot her words, and then it continued to be out of tune. I love Little Mix but even I can say, their first performance was disappointing and they have had some bad performances throughout the live shows, like 'Don't Stop The Music' which I was not keen on, if you claim that everything one act does is amazing and groundbreaking when infact it was poor, of course you are going to get a reaction on here.

Janet forgot the words once before. I doubt the I WAS ABOUT 2 THROW UP I TELLS YA!!1 situation actually happened. Unless she is pregnant or something.

Preference order from last night:

01 • Misha (01) • This actually started off quite shakily for me but she really turned it around from the chorus onwards. The rap section and, in particular, the dance section at the end were great.

02 • Misha (02) • Great song choice for her, although I thought it was a shame the recap began with the sole dodgy moment in the form of the "woah woah woah" bit which was definitely off key. I'm not usually THAT much of a Misha B fan but she was definitely the best over all last night.

03 • Little Mix (02) • Beautiful was an obvious song choice for them and it almost worked. It wasn't quite there for me though the blonde haired one can definitely sing well - focused too much on the individuals and not enough on the group harmonies for my liking.

04 • Janet (02) • Under The Bridge was a good choice for her, I wish they had allowed it to build up sooner though as she really suited the final section when the guitars really kicked in.

05 • Amelia (01) • This was nice. I didn't think it was as amazing as a lot of others seem to have done but she did it justice. The simple staging was good and she looked great in that lace dress too. I find in general that Amelia's performances are always okay (Billie Jean aside) but they don't really wow me as such.

06 • Amelia (02) • Yes it was rather shouty but it was still okay enough. Haven't got a lot to say about it really aside from it showed to me that actually it's quite a tough track to attempt.

07 • Little Mix (01) • Oh dear, I really fear for them after this. The song choice was just awful, they actually performed it about as well as they could but it just felt completely flat throughout, the staging was so tacky and reminded me of a Stars In Their Eyes performance or some cheap Saturday night ITV tribute to show (OH, HOLD ON...)

08 • Marcus (02) • This COULD have been great but it seemed to go very wrong imo. He sounded very off key throughout although he did add some power towards the end that masked it a bit. A real shame as he's definitely been one of the better contestants over all in the series.

09 • Marcus (01) • Awful song choice. Was never going to be anything other than karaoke and he couldn't rescue it for me.

10 • Janet (01) • Oh dear, this really was a car crash as many have said before me. The song choice wasn't great in the first place, although the category hardly lends itself to finding great songs. She definitely did just forget the words imo, she repeated the same lines in the first verse and then just forgot the second verse also so we just ended up with lots of Mmms and Bops which was hardly captivating. Sadly it's also not the first time it's happened. Will no doubt get through though as it will just attract the sympathy votes, for some reason we do love to spend money on making people feel better rather than spending it on those that we genuinely thought performed the best.

Clearly the real reason Frankie was booted...

Agreed that Since U Been Gone was poor. I disagree that she doesn't do the belting well but I think that may be down to personal taste in voices. Most belters have their fans and their detractors. I found China in Your Hand to be captivating and perfectly judged. I dont understand how she didn't do justice to Since U Been Gone.

I think this is actually a very good post - especially with regards to the bit about 'belters having fans and detractors'. I personally think she's superb at belting a song out, whilst quite a few thinks she shouts.

Even if Janet only stopped singing because she needed to throw up - a highly convenient tale - then she doesn't deserve to be here because she's got four competitors who actually have a handle on their nerves and manage to get through their songs without forgetting the words OR barfing up their throats. So that excuse simply DOES NOT WASH.

:manson: At like this whole page.

But at least Doug has the objectivity to see Mmmbop was bad :P

I kinda enjoyed Mmmbop  It was the worst performance of last night, but I didn't mind it. And no, I'm not a Janet loon or a Devlinator...

Dear god GROW UP Doug. This is nothing LIKE Nazism. You're quite definitely allowed to have a different opinion - sure, you might be criticised for it, but that's basic discussion. You're still allowed to have the opinion. It's a basic fact of this website that slavish worship of any given artist - particularly when they're putting out dodgy performances and you deny it - will get pulled up on. Deal with it and learn to argue your case without throwing your toys out of the pram or screaming that the artists that everyone else likes are terrible.

And, uh, yeah, if you go back and check then you'll see a fair few people who do hate on Janet DID give her credit for the likes of Fix You. However, you've been just as judgemental and implicit in ripping on other people for their tastes, so I really can't understand how you've reached your conclusion that everyone else is at fault.
