I really like it. That shot at 7seconds in is freaky as hell though.

Love the majority of it...no need for the shitty effects added on though. The beginning minute or so is by far the best bit.

Is the video good? Yes. Is it worth the wait? No

Hands down the worst video I've seen in 2012. Some of the cinematography and effects look like a student film made for A level media studies. Amazingly it was directed by Anthony Mandler aka Rihanna's long time partner in crime and amazing visuals. Everybody involved must have been smoking shit loads of crack on this shoot.

 

Nicki looks really uncomfortable in a lot of shots too. Everything seems to be falling apart for her right now.

Lol! The video really is a video of two halves, isn't it?! Some shots are really well done and actually pretty nicely shot, however other parts (particularly towards the end!) it's truly dreadful. I have no words for it as a whole though :lol: Still love her though. (Although surely she's due a public meltdown soon?!)

I wouldn't go as far as say as everything seems to be falling apart for her, she's on top of her game right now! The video could be much better and the effects are annoying but it's decent enough and she looks very good.

 

I oddly preffered the 'Beez In The Trap' and 'Stupid Hoe' video .... 'Stupid Hoe' was actually one of her best videos imo.

She kept us waiting for that?

It's an okay video, and I must be the only person who actually likes the editing :lol: I expected a bit better because of the wait. On videos:

Well there's been the mixed reaction to the album (fair enough she has pop fans and urban fans and can't really please both but the pop songs for example as nothing like as good as the ones on Pink Friday), the twitter meltdown/being downright rude to the people who've made her what she is, poor live performances, the fact that she looks SO uncomfortable in this awful video... it definitely feels like things aren't going as smoothly as they should. She really needs to take stock of her career and decide what she's going for with her music. Does she want to be a pop puppet or a serious rapper? She's diluting her brand too much.

 

IDK though. Maybe I'm overanalysing.

 

The beach scenes remind me of Heidi Montag - Higher :/. I agree she just looks uncomfortable, but I find that with her live performances she seems to have very little stage presence as a solo artist. I use to be a huge fan but clearly fame has gone to her head, with how rude she's being lately Im hoping it does come crashing down on her. RR seems just an attempt to take what she thought was popular about PF and take it too far. A mess.

I pretty much agree with everything Jark has said here. It's just her sales that are holding up well (although the US isn't looking too good) but Nicki as an actual popstar has gone way downhill with this.

 

Blah video. Ridiculous wait for those effects. Move on now please.

The video is a bit :mellow: at times, but it is quite an enjoyable watch! The first half is really good, but it just gets a bit out of hand with the effects towards the end :lol: I don't really get the claims of her looking uncomfortable in the video though. Where exactly? :unsure:

 

I really wanted to use one of those kaleidoscope bits as a gif in my sig to give you lot a daily brainf***, but I couldn't find one (lucky you!) :( Guess I'll have to stick with pretty Miss Marina instead...
