You Da One  #13 :kink:

I am glad, because although I love Rihanna, this shows her that she can't actually put out any old shit and then it will be a massive smash.

Isnt We Ride, Rihanna's worst performing single in the uk charts or have missed any.

'Hard' which didn't even go top 40, but they really messed that release up. I still think if it had a straight forward release, instead of the video being all over music channels around 6 months before the actual release, it would have been reasonably successful, at least another top 20.

Man Down i think. It got to #59 but only because the music video was released.

I agree. I'm FED UP of people saying Rihanna can release a music video for anything and it'll go top 10. So hopefully this will show them that it's not the case.

Although, there have been countless other examples of Rihanna missing the top 10, or even the top 40. Infact, Rihanna released a music video for Rockstar 101, and that missed the top 100 (although it wasn't a single here, granted)!!! So I can't understand why people still say that. She even released a charity single last year which missed the top 40.

I like You Da One. I hope it does better, but the truth is, it probably wouldn't even be top 20 at the moment if it didn't get made 59p briefly.

Disappointed to see YDO out of the top 10, it really isn't as bad as most people say it is. On the other hand, Avicii is now back in the top 10 (again) so it's not all bad.

Flo Rida up to 92.9% - come on Coldplay, just hold him off until the end of the year :( :kink: But in all seriousness, this is definitely Coldplay's last chance at #1 then. If Military Wives reclaim the #1 for tomorrow I will personally murder every single person who bought it this week :D

Sexy And I Know It at least has novelty value which for me makes it far better than Party Rock Anthem which is possibly the most generic thing EVER. (Both are better than the actively horrendous Champagne Showers though). None of them are exactly the pinnacle of musical greatness though. 'Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch' remains by far the best thing in LMFAO's back catalogue and that was a remix/mashup.

Maroon 5 are now ahead of Ed Sheeran and Labrinth combined :drama: The last time they were outside the top 10 on the Friday mids they crept back in for Sunday, if this happens again that's another group of people I will personally kill every one of.

82. Auld Lang Syne - Gay Gordon

Brilliant to see Foster The People in the top 40 again

If Moves Like Jagger gets back into the top 10, it'll tie I Gotta Feeling's record I think! :o

It'd be quite a chart run if Flo Rida gets #1 next week. And if it had got #1 on its first week, surely that would be the record for the longest time between two runs at #1, and also the record for the lowest position dropped to between the two runs (I thought Just the Way You Are held the record before, and that only dropped to #4)?

'She Loves You' by The Beatles spent seven weeks between it's two runs at no.1, though it never fell below no.3.

Wow. Well that must be the record. I just checked its chart run, and it spent 18 weeks in the top 3?! Was that normal back in the 1960's? :o

If it had happened to Flo Rida, it would've *only* been 6 weeks between the two runs. It would've broken the other record though, unless you count the re-released songs that got to #1 twice, like Bohemian Rhapsody, etc.

Can't that Flo Rida song just die?

Like with Moves Like Jagger, the fact that it went to the top of iTunes as soon as it was released with such little promo did make me think it would be around for AGES, as the song would only increase in airplay, and the public would get to know it, etc.

Except Moves Like Jagger will probably still be top 100 this time next year, whilst Good Feeling won't be, but the ONLY reason why that will be is because Heart FM won't be playing Good Feeling once every 2 hours for years and years.

I honestly think Taio Cruz will get #1 next week, but it's unpopular opinion I think!

I don't think he will - but I hope he does :D Would be nice to see something fresh there instead of Coldplay and Flo Rida who have both been in the charts for ages. Taio will probably be an addition to the big list of non-#1s so Flo Rida probably deserves it more (I'm still on team Cruz)

Even after almost 50 years, this track is still in the top ten of the best selling singles of all time. Something like 1.8m I believe, that's what 18 weeks in the top 3 got you in the early 60s!

Musically Coldplay would be a more fresh #1, but they've been on the chart for ages and I think it's overated :kink:

Can Good Feeling just drop like a stone and let Wild Ones rise?

I guess it would make a change to have two climbers to #1 in a row. Last time we had that was early summer time, where Party Rock Anthem, The Lazy Song and Give Me Everything were all climbers. A pity the songs themselves weren't very good though. :(

If Titanium takes off in a big way soon, Sia could have two songs in the top 10 together! :o

I haven't heard or seen Troublemaker anywhere, so I'm pretty certain it won't get to #1. I reckon Paradise will get to #1 this week (will that count as the first #1 of 2012? Seeing as all of the sales week that contributed to it was in 2011) but I think it's starting to run out of steam, whereas Flo Rida is still going strong, so he'll probably get the #1 after that.

I've seen Troublemaker's video maybe twice? It's not very good. Flo Rida is definitely looking like the favourite for #1 next week at the moment.

He's now up to 95.1% - he'll probably get #1 in a couple of hours then :( Was hoping Coldplay would hold #1 until midnight but it's not gonna happen.

Rizzle Kicks are up to 70.5% and increasing slightly faster than Flo Rida so I hope they'll challenge for #1 next week too.
