Start Without You was Alexandra's 4th single off Overcome, that went number 1. Awful song as well so very impressive feat. Bad boys was 1, Broken heels 8, Start without you 4, then maybe there was a bad sales week because her worst single topped the chart.

It came off the deluxe though...

"I Have A Dream" was the fifth single off "Voulez-Vous" and reached number 2
Never Gonna Leave Your Side was the 5th single off Daniel Bedingfield's debut album and that got to no.1, though his other chart toppers were much bigger.

A bit of cheating but Steps:

"Heartbeat/Tragedy" was their first number one, Heartbeat being the fourth single from Step One.

The seventh single (Could It Be Magic) from Take That's debut was the biggest reaching #3.

The fourth single from Kasabian's debut was their highest charting to date (#8).

And the MOST OBVIOUS one:

911

Fifth and sixth single from The Journey peaked at #3

....I think 'Sunday Girl' was the 4th single off Blondie's 'Parallel Lines' when it went to no.1 in 1979
It came off the deluxe though...

Fair enough, I'm not an Alexandra fan. I only remember it because I was horrified at it going number 1 actually so detract from the achievements of the song all you want!

I thought that song was by Beverley Knight for two weeks before I figured it was Alexandra. So not her style

Steps 'Tragedy'/'Heartbeat'.

Bad Romance and Telephone were both huge hits, being the 5th and 6th releases from The Fame - however, this was a re-release so can it be counted? Also, neither of the two were quite as big as Poker Face.
Take That's Everything Changes Album had 4 number one hits. It contained 6 top 2 hits over all. Not sure what order they were released.

The first 5 singles off Westlife's debut album all went #1, the last being Fool Again. The fourth single I Have A Dream was the highest selling of the singles from the album.

AFAIA 'Westlife' is the only album other than greatest hits that contains 5 UK #1s which makes it a bit odd that the album itself only got #2.

Spice technically has 5 UK #1 songs, with there being four singles hitting #1 - one of them a double A side, although in this case, "Wannabe" is the track with the highest sales.

Rockstar by Nickelback only got to no2 but it was the biggest hit off that album and was a last ditch release 2 years after the album was released!

Kylie's Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi was the 4th release from her debut album, and that reached #2. It might have been only a couple thousand copies behind the number one... *checks Gezza76 thead* :D

Also, Kylie's Tears on My Pillow was the 4th single from Enjoy Yourself, and that was #1 :)

Start without you after Hallelujah, Bad boys, broken heels and All night long. though it was featured on deluxe addition of Overcome

Start Without You does not count as it was released when it appeared on no album until the deluxe came out.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned B*Witched - Blame It On The Weatherman :cheer:
