I think everybody should stop harping on about the 59p thing. Paradise probably wouldn't have got to #1 if it wasn't 59p. Some good songs will benefit, and some bad songs will benefit, and it's just something we have to deal with, if we want to avoid being hypocritical.

I think What Do You Take Me For? was fantastic, but I don't really like her other two.

Lana Del Rey performing on Jonathan Ross tonight, don't know which single she is performing though, hopefully her new track.

According to TV Times magazine, Lana is performing 'Video Games'. Could be the push the track needs to send it climbing up iTunes again. :D

02. Jessie J - Domino (Should be her second number one next week)

13. Beyonce - Love On Top

16. Katy Perry - The One That Got Away

17. Sean Kingston - Party All Night (WOW)

41. Kelly Clarkson - What Dosen't Kill You

45. Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars

814. Nicola Roberts - Yo Yo (WHAT A FLOP)

Amazing to see Katy Perry still holding up fantastically. I really do hope it manages to get top 10 for at least a week at some point though! :(
I'm suprised 'Party All Night' is getting such a huge boost. I know it was in the Inbetweeners Movie and was played right at the end, but 'Stay Too Long' and the 'Blow' remix also were featured heavily and didn't get such a boost.
Ok NOW would be a great time to put 'Love On Top' and TOTGA down to 59p!!

Agree, both are great songs and both hopefully will get at least one week top 10.

What are their respective chart runs so far?

It is always the song that is played at the end of a film which sticks in your head, I'm not at all surprised.

Given The Inbetweeners Movie was the biggest selling DVD over Christmas it doesn't take a genius to work out why "Party All Night" has been given a huge boost.

I just don't want Katy to break her top 10 run with an awesome single. Also, 'Love On Top' deserves to be a hit of all kinds for Beyonce.

I don't know their exact chart runs but I can give you the general idea:

LOT: ...23-22-22-23-22 [i believe that's what it has been for the past five weeks]

TOTGA: 22.......23-20-18 [i can only remember certain parts of this song's chart run. I know it debuted at #22 after X Factor and then eventually went top 20 for two weeks :P]

I think Beyonce could well manage to get top 10 on iTunes, but i doubt Katy will now. Saying that Drake will probably overtake, and reenter instead.

I hope Ed doesn't drop out, the song still sounds so fresh!

Sheesh. Do you need to be so rude about it? I didn't ask why PAN was getting a boost, all I said was I was suprised at how big the boost was so there was no need for the genius comment.

LOT:

75-x(10)-87-54-28-22-23-23-22-

TOTGA:

22-55-61-62-37-31-26-25-20-20-18-

:P

Although we have dozens of other examples of this already, here's MORE examples of songs peaking MONTHS after their music videos get released. I'm never going to understand why some people think songs peak in the charts the week after the music video is released. It practically never happens.

Apologies, I didn't mean to come across as rude. The boost was even bigger when the original film was out (it got to #9).

The only positions that should matter at the moment...

016. The One That Got Away - Katy Perry

041. What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) - Kelly Clarkson [ugh. Hurry up and go top 40 already, goddamnit :drama:]

144. Want U Back - Cher Lloyd

It's 59p, is it not? It's doing rubbish considering it's a new song, that's 59p...

oh i didn't know it was 59p :L

Remember the song has had NO airplay and it's airplay will increase next week. The song also has no video. It should go top 40 next week though!
Not sure if the UK version will have it too - but Cher Lloyd's 'Want U Back' is set to feature Astro (a finalist from X Factor USA) on the US release. Am interested in hearing it, although it's hard to imagine Cher having another hit - 'Dub on the Track' was actually quite good - but unless UK rappers make dance tracks, it's unlikely to do well.

I very much doubt it has had NO airplay...
