How can I see the popularity bars in iTunes 9 & 10?

Use this link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...aultSeeAllSongs

Then select 'View' and tick 'popularity', alternatively, in the headings bar (Artist, Album, Time, etc), right click and select 'popularity'

Guetta just keeps on gaining  Should be up to #03 by tomorrow night.

Edited by Jaseeee

Skepta still going strong at #27.

Professor Green up to #31! He probably would've missed the top 40 if he wasn't 59p unfortunately. But the song is fantastic. Glad it's up there now. :D

Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa up to #39. I'm never going to know where they're getting their promotion from. Are we sure this isn't 59p?

Kelly Rowland up to #82. I really hope this can be a top 10 hit in the end.

It's also nice to see Lose Yourself and In Da Club both in the top 100. I get so nostalgic when I listen to them sometimes, since they used to be like my favourite songs.

9. Kiss The Stars - Pixie Lott

GOOOO Pixie! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

190. Tyga - Rack City :o Glad this is top 200. It's #3 on US iTunes. It's really not the sort of thing that British people would like, so it's amazing it's doing this well.

198. David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On - To be honest, I think the success of Titanium is helping this. This should smash if it's his 5th single I think, and they should try Titanium in the US for their 5th single.

While I'm on about the US, thought any Adele fans might be happy to know that Set Fire to the Rain is #1 on iTunes!! :D Her success continues to amaze me, and I think it will be one of the biggest hits of 2012 there. They'll probably have a music video for it soon, which might boost it a bit here.

The music video for 'Turn Me On' will help it out. Rightfully so. I can see this being a sort of double release.
Yaaaayy for Kelly!! :D What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) could be the Since U Been Gone she's needed :)

Rack City is awful, but it'll almost definitely go Top 40 over here if radio picks up on it :(

I suspect Turn Me On will easily go Top 10 at some point too

But SFTTR at #1 = :D

09. Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars 31.5%

10. Olly Murs - Dance With Me Tonight 31.4%

11. Beyonce - Love On Top 31.3%

24. Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks

29. Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know

31. Professor Green - Never Be A Right Time

32. M83 - Midnight City

35. Cher Lloyd - Want U Back

43. Pitbull - Give Me Everything

44. Kanye West - All Of The Lights

47. Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar (Don't Dare Go Top 40)

50. Calvin Harris & Kelis - Bounce

66. Journey - Don't Stop Believin

70. Jls - She Makes Me Wanna

74. The Wanted - Warzone (It shows how effective 59p is as it was #23 at the start of the week

82. Kelly Rowland - Lay It On Me

I'm still incredibly shocked at how high pixie is, in a good way obviously. it's amazing what a 59p reduction can do even at such an early stage, if it were 79p right now it'd probably be standing outside the top 300 I reckon.

No way. 79p vs. 99p? I think the public would still eat it up. She/her label timed the price reduction and video premiere perfectly.
I agree, Mercury have got Kiss The Stars release so right. The thing what surprises me is how this was so cherry picked with limited Airplay. We've seen 59p songs that have had more airplay that have not done near as good as Kiss The Stars.. The Wanted etc...

I don't know, 'what do you take me for?' underperforming made me think that it would kill off the rest of the era for her. it's happened to other artists many times before, and the following single (no matter the quality) just seems to flat out flop. I can't really think of any other reason of any other reason of the song doing so well other than the reason that it was reduced to 59p before it was sent to radio with the video released. the general reaction to the song itself has been pretty lukewarm as well.

lol at Kiss the stars huge success.

The wrong video is doing the right thing (talk bad but talk about me). ^_^

iTunes Top 5 guaranteed after her Dancing On Ice performance.

Pixie's just been handled incredibly well with this single. Though the video is abysmal, you can tell how desperate they are to go right after mediocre performance from the 2nd single and album, so they've timed everything pretty perfectly.

For me, the only way I can see UK radio playing it is if it gets to #1 in the US (like Black and Yellow and Like a G6). Otherwize, it won't be touched. When was last time we had a song like that in the top 40? Must've been like 2008 or something. That type of music is dead (commercially in the UK) now.

And Turn Me On, I think will only go top 10 if it's the 5th single. Otherwize, I think it might have similar success to Man Down.

I think the 2nd single from Pixie did poorly because it had rap verses in it. A large part of Pixie's success is her very high levels of radio airplay, and having rapping in the song meant all the MOR stations that usually support her simply just wouldn't play What Do You Take Me For? They should've at least sent a no-rap version to radio, or not had rapping on it in the first place.

Also, there was an article earlier that said that the record labels do NOT choose what gets included in the iTunes discounts thing. Some empolyees at iTunes do.

Beyonce up to #10!

So Beyoncé gets knocked out of the top 10 then climbs back in knocking out another good song - great <_<

Kiss The Stars looks likely to be Pixie's fourth highest-peaking single then. Can't say I expected that.

Rizzle Kicks could overtake Flo Rida very soon :D Guetta/Sia could overtake both of them soon also.

 24. Pumped Up Kicks - Foster the People

 98. Pumped Up Kicks - Foster the People

Probably around the same combined as it was when both versions were around the 40 mark but still great to see the album version so high. I still don't get what causes these random switchovers of the higher version that happen every now and then - both versions are 59p so why have people suddenly shifted to buying the album version while the single version plummets? The same has happened with 'Party Rock Anthem' a couple of times.

I think people interested in buying the album may be cautious about getting the 'single' version as although often the same length - it doesn't always discount itself from the album. If you buy the version on the album though, you're sure to get the reduction. 'Pumped Up Kicks' luckily works both ways, but in the past I've been let down by such tactics.
