I hope 'Mama Do The Hump' goes to #1 since it looks like it's going to have a long chart run anyway, plus they're British, the video is hilarious, the song is quite original and it'll end up being a memorable hit anyway. Plus it'd be funny to see their discography as #1 - #8 - #8 - #1.

'Born To Die' for explosive first week sales to make up for two average weeks for singles sales. :D

I hope Cover Drive get it. I just love that song so much.

I haven't heard Lana Del Rey's song get, but she's got a lot of hype around her, and Video Games is good. I could see her selling somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 tbh. It's difficult to tell, but I think she's a certainty to be top 5 at minimum.

Sadly due to the Collective they've also got a 24 there as well...

Same with Ed Sheeran - the song completely messes up his 3-4-5

^ Does that song actually count towards all their discographies? On the OCC's website they just credit it to "The Collective", so maybe it doesn't.

I hope the Buzzjack Chart Show people take it out of the included artists' discographies. It looks really messy. :o Not only because it got to #24, but because it just looks untidy on the page. I've got too bad a case of OCD damnit! :D

Another song that Buzzjack seems to credit wrong is All of the Lights. I think it should be credited to Drake (in addition to Kanye and Rihanna), because the OCC credit him (as stupid as it seems).

And I noticed Iyaz wasn't credited on Pyramid by Charice, although they might've changed that now, I'm not sure (I'll have to wait until Iyaz gets back in the top 40 to see, and that could be a while ).

I always thought it was credited as Kanye West Ft. Rihanna & Kid Cudi, but I think I'm mistaken.

Oh Dear, Pixie's going to truly plummet tomorrow. She's decreasing quite fast showing how effective 59p actually was. Hopefully she manages to remain top 10 next week!

01. Jessie J - Domino 100%

02. Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump 83.1%

03. David Guetta & Sia - Titanium 81.9%

06. Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars 40.7%

07. Taio Cruz - Troublemaker 38.5%

08. Coldplay - Paradise 37.9%

09. Kelly Clarkson - What Dosen't Kill You 37.5%

10. Lloyd - Dedication To My Ex 36.8%

23. Cher Lloyd - Want U Back

27. One Direction - One Thing

Could we maybe see Glee - Without You enter the charts this week?

Wow. It's at #40 and the episode is aired tomorrow/later today! Really hope it does. It's lovely.

I think that's how they credit it on the music video (because those are the only artists that turned up for the video shoot ). But they credit it different places everywhere. On iTunes it's just Kanye West, in some places you see Kanye West ft. Rihanna, other places you see Kanye West ft. Various Artists, and other places they list out every person on the song individually.

But the OCC seem to list it as "KANYE WEST FEATURING DRAKE & RIHANNA" as you can see here: http://www.theofficialcharts.com/search-re...l+of+the+lights

It's awkward, because Drake isn't actually in the final song, but he gets credited over all those artists that actually do appear in it. However, I believe their confusion probably originates from an early version of All of the Lights which leaked which had only Drake, Kanye and Rihanna on it.

Glee is doing massive things in the US!! :o Currently 4 tracks in the top 15, and they're all still climbing!

Rizzle Kicks weren't officially credited on 'Teardrop' so I wouldn't count it in their discography. (Also Down With The Trumpets charted before Heart Skips A Beat anyway so their discography would go 8-1-8-1 :P)

Ed's 3-4-5 is messed up already by 'Drunk' which charted in the top 75 before 'Lego House' did, even when ignoring Teardrop.

Top 3

01. Jessie J // Domino = 100

02. Rizzle Kicks // MDTH = 85.15

03. David Guetta ft Sia // Titanium = 80.98

Welcome to 2001. :P

Record companies have now rediscovered exactly what they did 10 years ago. By holding back a new release by up to 8 weeks they think such singles will just generate massive first week sales. The problem is they do, but nobody is interested by week 2 so despite the big opening week sales, the track suddenly starts plummeting. In the days of physical cd singles and running out of stock it was understandable. In the days of legal downloads and unlimited supply it's very worrying.

That's why, imo, 2009 was a massive year for singles sales. You had 'I Gotta Feeling', 'Poker Face' and 'Meet Me Halfway' all selling relatively well before they even topped the UK chart. Had 'Price Tag' been held back for up to 8 weeks last year, it most likely would've gone to #1 selling 100k but its sales would have nosedived more sharply and wouldn't be anywhere near a million seller.

Just typical UK based record companies shooting themselves in the foot...again!!! :D

They say artists make very little money from selling music. This is why (ie; greedy record company tactics).

Your post said it all really....the biggest hits of last year too were the ones that were released early(although i wait for someone to point out the ones that werent).Your opinion on PTs release is spot on to although i await someones saying they heard it before it was released to try and disprove the obvious facts!

The record companies greed is def one of the reasons along with a lack of confidence that songs can naturally climb to the top of the charts because the quality is 'throwaway' - best example being Gotta be You by OD!!(CONTROVERSIAL)

MAKE IT HAPPEN. Both single and album need to be getting close to 100k, album especially because there's bugger all out for a while afterwards.

Think from 30/1 onwards there is one big album a week released so its not THAT bad - after Born to Die we have Maverick Sabre etc!

I hope Cover Drive get it. I just love that song so much.

Is born to die not getting capital airplay yet?

I like all of the top 3 so I don't really mind who gets to/stays at number one. I would prefer 'Titanium' though.

Probably not, it's too 'alternative'. Doubt they played "Paradise" until it was in the top 5, maybe until it was #1.
