Posted January 21, 201213 yr THE NEW DIRECTIONS ARE LIVIN' LA VIDA LOCA ON AN ALL-NEW "GLEE" TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, ON FOX Ricky Martin Guest-Stars Will assigns the glee club a Spanish singing assignment, and enlists the help of his musically-inclined night school teacher (guest star Martin). Meanwhile, Rachel spills the beans to Kurt and Mercedes on Finn's marriage proposal, and Mercedes has love complications of her own in the all-new "The Spanish Teacher" episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, Feb. 7 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-312) (TV-14 D, L) I think Ricky Martin is meant to be singing 'Sexy & I Know It'. I'm not sure if any other songs are known but I'd personally love for them to tackle 'Livin' La Vida Loca'.
January 21, 201213 yr Sounds like a fill episode to me. And ugh. They just HAD to do 'Sexy & I Know It', didn't they? :(
January 21, 201213 yr Apparently Santana is doing a doing a song with Ricky's character, as is Will (and it's an Elvis song in Spanish). I agree this seems a filler ep... Also they'll probably overuse Ricky Martin to the max!
January 29, 201213 yr Pre-orders are up on Amazon: "Sexy and I Know It" (LMFAO) - David Martinez "La Isla Bonita" (Madonna) - David Martinez "A Little Less Conversation" (Elvis Presley) - Will Schuester "Bamboleo / Hero" (Simón Díaz / Enrique Iglesias?) - TBA "Don't Wanna Lose You" (Gloria Estefan) - TBA
January 29, 201213 yr On Glee Wiki, it says Mercedes sings Don't Wanna Lose You and the New Directions boys sing Bamboleo/Hero. I wish Santana was doing La Isla Bonita instead though :(
January 29, 201213 yr Author Really happy that the 'Hero' rumour turned out to be true. :D 'A Little Less Conversation' could be..interesting..
January 29, 201213 yr I did hear Will would sing it in Spanish (which would fit the storyline, Will's Spanish speaking skills are questioned), which would make it a bit less meh I suppose.
February 1, 201213 yr Author PNh3f_hGXO8 Unless my ears aren't working right, the small preview of 'Sexy & I Know It' is in Spanish? I wonder if the official version is like that and/or how much of the song is in Spanish. Should make it more of an interesting take on the song.
February 3, 201213 yr JcCtyMSuyHk&feature=player_embedded *.* Since when was Ricky Martin that hot? :o I mean obviously the song itself is awful still but the Spanish twist is a fun addition to it. I could probably bear listening to this.
February 3, 201213 yr Author I think it is a bit of an improvement on the original. 'A Little Less Conversation' on the other hand.. Not keen on the original of 'Bamboleo' but mashed up with 'Hero' it's OK.
February 3, 201213 yr Oh my god, ALLC is absolutely abysmal  Contender for worst Glee song ever, like seriosuly... I'd rather listen to Sugar's Big Spender, at least it's funny! Loving La Isla Bonita the most of all the songs so far, Santana singing in Spanish = massive eargasm
February 8, 201213 yr Author Alright episode, Santana brought it as usual with the 'La Isla Bonita' performance and telling Will what she thought of his teaching. 'A Little Less Conversation' may be the worst song/performance the show has done. I realised in this episode just how $hit Will is and how NeNe Leakes' character needs to replace Sue who has grown old.
February 8, 201213 yr Do I need to mention that Naya was caliente? I'm obsessed with her more and more :kink: 'La Isla Bonita' was a highlight of the episode and I loved the mash-up of Bamboleo and Hero! And oh, Roz is amazing!
February 8, 201213 yr Can anyone send me a link to watch this? My usual link seems to have messed up :(
February 9, 201213 yr I found the episode quite dull on the whole. It was OK, but it didn't serve much purpose. I mean aside from a bit of Finchel 'drama' and cracks showing in whether the wedding will indeed go ahead, it was a bit filler. Much love for sexy Mr Martinez though! Best line of the episode was Kurt's 'oh dear god yes' when David asked if he should demonstrate his skills
February 10, 201213 yr This was a pretty poor episode. There was only one good song - 'Bamboleo/Hero' - the rest ranged from average to awful. The plot was very thin as well; Will may have been made out to be a bad teacher in this specific episode, but I've been rewatching series one recently, and he's never seemed as if he's incapable at speaking Spanish. The pronunciations on the songs were also incredibly poor.
March 30, 201213 yr Out of the ashes that was Glee in 311, rose a phoenix in the form of 312. Much better! However the lack of Ricky Martin singing Ricky Martin or any Ricky Martin classics being sung at all was irritating and generally a poor effort.
