January 22, 201214 yr You're right, apparently it was a comedian called Wayne Brady. "Strange Clouds" might be my favourite B.o.B track now, it's brilliant. Odd that it was big straight from the off in the US and "Play The Guitar" has underperformed massively in comparison, whereas since the latter appears to have been held back over here it could do far better. Yeah, Strange Clouds went all the way to #1 on US iTunes! :o I think it's just the Lil Wayne effect. Half the songs he features on go to #1, his fanbase is shockingly massive and devoted.
January 22, 201214 yr Titanium finally top 3, so happy for it, and Sia! Hopefully it'll at least match the longevity of Where Them Girls At now.
January 22, 201214 yr This is really rather good, shows some good progression from the rest of his recent singles. Good to see the best two singles from the album are the two highest-peaking, I've not heard "Turn Me On" yet but hopefully it's better than the mess that was "Little Bad Girl" or the snoozefest of "Without You".
January 22, 201214 yr Titanium was originally intended for Katy Perry apparently. I've read somehwere that it was intended for Mary J. Blige.
January 22, 201214 yr Yes! Titanium top three :D I've waited 12 years to see Sia get a top three hit and her next one might not be too far away! My favourite dance song in years, magical, the production, the vocals and the melody are all spot on. I'm not really sure which the last dance song I loved this much was as I never really regarded either With Every Heartbeat or Release Me as dance songs, even if they were marketed as so in this country. Never expected David Guetta to churn out anything even a tenth this good.

January 22, 201214 yr So it's not a new chart peak for Pendulum then, this matches the #4 peak of Watercolor. I think Pendulum could get a #1 with their next lead single if they can time it to a low sales week. A la Nero. January 22, 201214 yr If SHM weren't going to get #1 I'm quite glad it was #4, keeps up the (multiple of 3) + 1 run they have going  I actually thought they'd end up as "that big dance #2 hit on January" song, but that didn't happen too. 'Internet Friends' >>>>> 'Antidote' though.. I want to imagine the song with the lyrics 'You blocked me on FB and now you're going to die' up there! Edited January 22, 201214 yr by Arrs
January 22, 201214 yr I've read somehwere that it was intended for Mary J. Blige. Yeah, I saw that somewhere too (I think on Youtube?). I also saw an Ester Dean version of Turn Me On on Youtube, which had different production to Nicki's version.
January 22, 201214 yr officialcharts #ChartFact Just 1500 copies separate this week's #Number1 album @officialadele, & @entershikari who were leading The Official Chart Update
January 22, 201214 yr 'Titanium' is without a doubt the best thing in the top 40. If only Rizzle Kicks (at #2) and Swedish House Mafia vs Knife Party (at #4) swapped places, it'd be a really strong top 3, in my opinion. Hoping Cover Drive / Lana del Rey don't overshadow 'Titanium', hopefully another few weeks in the top 10 is definitely on the cards.

January 22, 201214 yr Is this the Freemasons remix of it that Scott was talking about? It sounds good!
January 22, 201214 yr I think Pendulum could get a #1 with their next lead single if they can time it to a low sales week. A la Nero. Rob Swire has now had UK top 15 hits as a solo artist (featured on deadmau5' 'Ghosts 'N' Stuff'), as half of a duo (Knife Party) and as one sixth of a group (Pendulum) - nu Paul McCartney :P He also had a top 40 hit as part of a trio - there were only 3 members of Pendulum when 'Slam' made the chart.
January 22, 201214 yr Congrats to Jessie J for a second week at number 1 Also great to see Titanium in the top 3
January 22, 201214 yr I'm glad we have a two weeker. I'm hoping Cover Drive tails off so we can have three weeks from Jessie J at #1!
