Not a fan of that Cover Drive track, but will probably be a low selling number 1 if it hold out until Sunday. Hopefully Flo Rida or something can rise up and pip it to the top.

I don't think Lana Del Rey will get a top 5 hit from her album. She's evidently going to be one of those artists that sells a lot of albums and consistently sells her songs on downloads without them reaching a high peak (a larger version of Mumford & Sons on a singles scale or some such).

I don't mind "Twilight" but if Lana's not going to make it then I hope "Wild Ones" does, I can see it sticking around for a while. Currently #13 with Gotye #14 and Lana #16, if those three could take up positions 8-10 pronto (preferably after Taio Cruz has been overtaken by one of the three being replaced beforehand) that'd be a great top 10.

That Kings Of Pop track is going to go top 40 officially ain't it, the proper release is not out for another fortnight.

I hope Lloyd stays in the top 10 for another week regardless of what enters the top 10. Taio and Coldplay can leave now. The former is absolutely dreadful and the latter has had its time.

Urgh so frustrated at YDO :rolleyes: It can be top 15 all week and yet still be #19 officially. She needed a S&M-like official remix and a major live performance to co-inside with its release but I guess it's too late for that. It's a new release that's been given heavy rotation and promotion on Capital (they posted a link on their official facebook yday to download Cover Drive) + it's only 79p is probably what is enticing people to buy it. (Plus the fact it's a good song)

The early release of Flos new song will mean itll go top 5 and hang around for ages like his last one maybe snatching a week at the top in a slower week...as is the case with alot of records which while not OA/OS are released early by record companies!!

If that's the case I hope the original track gets an early release pretty soon, it might just get a #1 and hold for a couple of weeks at least at #1. We need a track to stick around a bit at #1. I still don't think its #1 material though but if it happens so be it.

 

Goyte needs a bit of a push, I don't think the track will get there, its going to be stuck behind a couple of new releases.

Well, it didn't flop, it was a song by a new artist which went top-10, lots of radio stations / TV channels noticed them, as well as the public. And that opened up the road for the follow-up.

 

It often happens to artists, the first song often becomes kind of their 'buzz hit'.

I don't get the love for 'Breathing' at all.

 

'Fight For You', 'It Girl', 'What If', 'In My Head' and 'Ridin' Solo' were all MUCH better. 'Breathing' is just another cheap generic dance song with another shitty video to match.
