It seems one the Emeli Sandes has been deleted, so David/Nicki now back up to #10.

So the point of releasing a single version in the first place was...? The album version will most likely climb to #2 in no time then and possibly may still knock DJ Fresh off #1, but for now Fresh is WAY out in the lead :P

Ugh at it being 'Turn Me On' going back to the top 10 by default. Meh, hopefully it'll overtake Cover Drive and then Starships can kick them out.

It's the single version that's gone, so we've got the album version at #6 now, which will be sure to climb quickly now that it's the only version.

Thanks. And hopefully Read All About It, Part III will climb more now with everybody buying the song being taken to the album's page.

WHY!!! :(

WHY!!! :(

Yeah, I don't really see the point either. It will probably slightly lose sales overall. The only possible advantage I can think of is that it might be able to get to #1 on iTunes now, and if that happens, it could boost its sales overall, due to the "#1 effect", but if it doesn't, it's a waste imo.

I can't see Next To Me to climb back to number 2 it's 40% behind Gotye, which will be very hard to pull back the gap.

It's not going to lose any sales overall that it wasn't going to lose anyway, everyone who was going to buy the single version will now just buy the album version instead. It's a bit pointless and means it has to climb again but it won't affect anything overall (and as Eric said it could actually help her if it gets the song to #1 then it gets the #1 effect).

If they wanted the #1 effect they would have gotten it far quicker by just making the album version album only. Her team are a bit odd.

Or they could have done the sensible thing and released the album on Sunday, both eliminating the need for a single version and increasing album sales for the week. I find it bizarre that almost no one does this (and whenever they do it's always quite a minor release).

There's absolutely no reason to release albums on a Monday rather than a Sunday. Releasing on a Sunday also gives album tracks more of a chance of cracking the top 40 and attracting attention.

Huh, my feed is still showing Emeli at #3 and #7, as well as having 'Starships' up to #12 so its not old?

I totally agree. Read All About It, Part III would probably be top 40 this week if it was available since Sunday, and there's countless other examples where songs missed out. I know a lot of shops are closed on Sunday, but that doesn't matter with downloads.

Ah, mine is as well now - must have been a buggy feed rather than the single version actually being deleted. Yay at that meaning Turn Me On isn't top 10 any more, now can we get rid of that pesky Cover Drive please :P

Is Turn Me On the first song ever go top 10 twice on iTunes and only peaking at #10 both times?

2 versions of 'One Thing' by One Direction - one at 23 and one at 31, what is this combined?

[p.s, a LOT of the word 'one' in that sentence :P ^]

It's been deleted, iTunes has just reverted.

#14

Or #11 combined with the B side.

It wasn't a revert because Nicki has climbed to #12 (she was #13 whe Emeli's single version disappeared).

Why would you combine it with the B-Side?

Wait what? Emeli is gone again so Nicki is now up to #11. What's going on?
The thing that screwed Madonna's new single over was making it ineligible for the first week - had it not been it would have probably made a Top 20 debut, radio would have been more inclined to add/playlist it..
