Turning Tables (Live)

'21' is the second album from singer-songwriter Adele, and like her first record, 2008's '19', it is named after the age Adele was when she wrote the album. Most of '21' was produced by Rick Rubin, who has worked with some of the biggest acts of the last 20 years, and Florence & The Machine producer Paul Epworth. Lyrically the album reflects Adele's increased maturity since '19', although it explores many of the same themes.

Price Tag

"Stomp Stomp, I've arrived!" struts the opening lyric of Jessie J's debut single, 'Do It Like A Dude' – a heavy urban-pop tune set to juddering beats and laced with her own brand of ghetto-fabulous, sordid swagger.

The instantaneous skank-inducing debut has already picked up airplay from the likes of Twin B, 1Xtra and Mista Jam, Radio 1, with the white hot remix from man-of-the-moment and good pal Labrinth rocketing Jessie J straight to the top of the HypeMachine chart in under 24 hours - all an impressive 3 months ahead of release.

The 22-year old, Essex-born songwriter has penned tunes for the likes of Alicia Keys, toured with Chris Brown and notably wrote Miley Cyrus's Number One billboard smash 'Party In The USA!' While her multi-octave voice and self-made attitude has earned Jessie J the respect of music's glitterati; from Justin Timberlake commenting 'Who is the best singer? Jessie J!', to Cyndi Lauper pulling her on stage at Shepherds Bush to sing her legendary anthem 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' alongside her.

'Do It Like A Dude' is a ghetto chic, crotch-grabbing, urban-pop diamond amongst the rough which cements Jessie J's debut album firmly in place as one of the most anticipated releases of 2011.- HMV

'19' is the debut album by London songstress Adele. In a vocal and style reminiscent of Amy Winehouse, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald this is an album that easily justifies the comparisons. Nothing's Real But Love

An X Factor finalist with a smoky neo-soul voice, Rebecca Ferguson began working on her major-label debut in early 2011, mere weeks after becoming the show’s 2010 runner-up. Released later that year, the record sketches out a soulful sound similar to Duffy and Corrine Bailey Ray. Ferguson puts her own stamp on the music by co-writing every track, including the lead single “Nothing’s Real But Love.” Most X Factor finalists load their debut albums with cover songs and schmaltzy ballads; Ferguson, an established songwriter as well as a singer, proves there are other avenues worth exploring. - HMV

I'm indifferent to Domino. I want more songs like Who You Are from JJ.

Kieran.

Are you just posting the same thing again and again?!

That Who You Are never made number 1 was criminal. It's hardly ground-breaking, but has held up more than longing enough to prove it's worth.
GOOOOOOOOO GOTYE :cheer:

Fab album.

It is!

The whole top five have been #1/2 in my personal chart, amazing :o

did alyssa reid's verison outpeak the original version from the '80s?

Yes, Heart made #3.

Domino is by far my favourite Jessie J song. It is just so addictive. Been hearing it since the summer and it still hasn't got old for me. Would love it to become Jessie's second million seller (far more deserving than Price Tag which I find very mediocre).

Happy for 1D, great song. Far more deserving of a top 10 position than Gotta Be You. Gotta Be You's chart run speaks for itself.

Well done Emeli!!!! :cheer: :cheer:

Radio 1 not updating the albums top 40 yet. Humbug.

Great to see Adele back in the top 3, hope she's done over 50k :D '19' back in the top 10 too :cheer:

GOOOOOOOOO GOTYE :cheer:

Fab album.

7th week in the top 10 and 'Domino' is still at #6 - I can definitely see this being an early contender for the year-end top 10 for 2012 - it's radio friendly, catchy and Jessie J herself is such a likeable person. I assume we'll see her perform 'Domino' at the BRITs, so hopefully it can climb a place or two; all depends on what Adele and Rihanna perform live.

The only song that I'm confident will reach the year-end top 10 at the moment is Somebody That I Used to Know. I'm excited to see what massive smashes we get in the coming months.

'Wild Ones' has taken its time to grow but I love it now  Pretty sturdy chart run so far, I hope it can peak higher than #5 though.

Got there in the end.

'Wild Ones' will probably drop down a couple of places next week.
