Well, it deserves to do much better than that (in my opinion).

It's amazing aswell, as she must've recorded it in the past couple of weeks, as she refers to the criticism that Starships has received (outside of Buzzjack a lot of people don't like it as it's very generic ).

Sales speak volumes... I'm sure so many people hate it because It's selling so poorly compared to her other recent releases... :P

That doesn't make any sense (unless you're being sarcastic ). Roman Reloaded won't sell very much, because you're not going to hear it on the radio very often. Nicki didn't make that song to be played on the radio. Starships was tailored towards stations like Capital and Radio 1, it's a safe pop song, essentially a mash-up of all the biggest pop songs of 2010 and 2011.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic (it doesn't come across very well over the internet.)... But I guess you could be right about the rest. Though Starships shot into to Top 10 without the airplay, I think airplay's just stopping it from falling now. Whereas Stupid Hoes and Roman In Moscow shot straight into the Top 75 or whatever, and then dropped like bricks. That's just what I make of it anyway. :P

 28 Jay-Z & Kanye West/ Ni**as In Paris. Could this get into the Top40 by Sunday? If Radio 1 were going to play it, it would be known as 'Paris' wouldn't it?

 48 Kanye West ft Jamie Foxx/ Gold Digger 59p should help it be in the Top75 on Sunday

 88 Rihanna ft Jay-Z/ Talk That Talk. Probaly because of more airplay.

By the way- what happened to Scissor Sisters vs Krystal Pepsy/ Shady Love being released? Has it been cancelled?

All the other stations call it "In Paris" or "Paris", so probably one of those, but I think it'll miss the top 40 this week, as all the BRITs songs with live versions, etc. will beat it in.

I don't really like Shady Love, so I would be more than happy if they cancelled it and released a better song instead.

Exactly what i've been thinking last few days! How close is she? Thought she'd be back by now inside top 10 and knock out Will.I.Am!

It's listed on the Radio 1 playlist as 'Paris'.

I think you're overestimating the BRITs effect, remember the BRITs songs were all either in the chart already or selling very little before Tuesday evening. The only live versions that have actually been released are Charlie Brown, No Light, No Light, Heart Skips A Beat/Groove, Boys & Girls, Song 2 and Parklife. Only the first two of those are anywhere near the top 40 and Charlie Brown is already there in the mids today. I think unless 'Niggas In Paris' falls a lot over the weekend it has a very strong chance of being top 40.

Now  to 26 and 158 :D

'Rack City' to #41 - should crack the top 40 very soon then :cheer:

the song has had it's time, after all, it's not like the song is going to repeak.

Its not about repeaking, it'd just be nice if it was back in top 10 for a bit getting a nice sales boost while in there. :) Its going to be one of her biggest selling singles, if not biggest? I'm guessing Since You've Been Gone is her biggest single out of all her releases? Not sure how much thats sold though.

If not i'd like Drunk to go in top 10!

Since U Been Gone I think is her "biggest" song, but it probably hasn't sold very much due to the sales climate when it was released.

Or at best, 'In Paris'...

I really think Gotye has a decent chance of holding Dappy off #1 next week. He's got a huge lead.

Really hope so, but Dappy's really held back this release so may have high first week sales like No Regrets, also no album with it on which helps the single sales.

Never expected this Rack City  #40

Edited by Karma

How on Earth is Rack City doing so well with so little support? I hope Radio 1 playlist it next week as it'd be great to see it becoming a proper hit.

5. Nicki Minaj - Starships

19. Lil Wayne - Mirror

37. Drake - Take Care

40. Tyga - Rack City

^ This must be the first time ever we've had 4 Young Money/Cash Money artists in the top 40 at the same time, as lead artists!!!! :o :o :o

Also, Alyssa Reid up to #14, Cover Drive up to #20, Jay-Z/Kanye West up to #26 and M.I.A up to #41.

I saw an advert for Rack City on Youtube once a few days ago. Maybe that's helping it? I can't see any other reason why it's doing so well.

Rack City first got into the top 300 due to that viral video of that kid and his grandma rapping to it, but that was like 2 months ago, and I expected it to just drop out the top 1000 again soon after, but it just kept on climbing and climbing. The song must be spreading mainly by word of mouth at the moment. I'd love Radio 1 and Capital to play it, but they wouldn't usually touch a song like this (especially not Capital).
