A second week in the top 40 for Charlie Brown ^_^ Hope it can stick around for a bit longer but I don't expect it to re-peak.

I finally put on Coldplay's album yesterday (well, the singles and the Rihanna collab since I have too many albums I haven't listened to yet and I don't want a music overload ) and was amazed at how much I liked 'Charlie Brown' (my first time hearing it). Very uplifting.

Surely 'Princess of China' is next?!?

Looks like One Direction fell out of the top 40 then

One Thing: 26-36-38-26-09-24-xx (6 weeks)

Gotta Be You: 03-16-25-xx (3 weeks)

Better than 'Gotta Be You' though, but I still don't see it selling 200k, which is a real shame - 'One Thing' definitely felt like progression in terms of their music.

Great to see Labrinth climb back into the top 40 since Wednesday, hoping it'll get a nice boost over the next few weeks, especially with 'Last Time' being released and the album being released on April 2.

30 is a poor peak for this - granted it isn't their best song but I was hoping for at least top 20 :(
Yeah. That turned out to be a fairly big hit, didn't it?

I don't think the song deserves the hate it gets though.

It's their best by far, one of two that I can actually listen to. Odd that the biggest seller of the century (did it top that list at the time just on its first week sales? :o) is only really the third most durable of the new entries that week. Both "How You Remind Me" and "Whenever, Wherever" are probably more familiar now.

Teenage Dream, Your Love Is My Drug, Super Bass, Best Thing I Never Had & Dog Days Are Over.

I apologise for my incredibly cheesy taste in music in advance. :)

There are only two Kesha songs I have liked 'Your Love Is My Drug' is one, and 'Blow' is the other. some good choices

No, Shaggy and Hearsay were million sellers by that point too.

One Direction haven't really been that huge have they? (in the UK at least)

'What Makes You Beautiful' was massive and the album has done well but both singles have underperformed majorly i'd say. JLS's debut album sold more than double of 'Up All Night'.

EDIT - Same with Cher, too. Two average selling hits, an underperforming album and an underperforming single. Rebecca's second single is yet to break the top 100 and the album isn't doing *that* well and Matt's album sales are very average too. Not a great year for X Factor.

I knew they were but had they cleared 1.1 million at that point?

"Charlie Brown" has done terribly given the promotion it's had. Would have rather seen "Hurts Like Heaven" as the third single.

I kept forgetting how 'Charlie Brown' went. a bit like 'Goodbye Kiss' by Kasabian which i liked but kept forgetting why i liked it....

Yet still it has done better than Lost! one of my favourite ever Coldplay songs

It still baffles me that YLIMD didn't become a massive hit, I can't help but smile whenever it comes on.

Is this finally nearing the end of its life? (Still currently #35 and #95 on iTunes but it falls during the week).
