It's shaping up to be a bit of a "Moves Like Jagger" if it's held back for two or three more weeks. It would be bizarre and a little bit amazing were fun. and Gotye the year's two biggest singles.

Moves Like Jagger got held back for 2 months in the UK (it got to #1 on US iTunes in mid-June before free-falling rapidly, and got released in the UK in mid-August), so they'd be kind of similar releases I guess. We Are Young could also debut surprisingly high like MLJ did. I wouldn't be surprised if it did this time.

We Are Young sounds like a massive future hit. Long running top 5 hit at the least, hopefully it can start getting promotion on Capital and/or Radio 1 later in the month.

 

I'm surprised Tinchy is doing this well after flopping with a Calvin Harris production at WFL's peak. I haven't heard the song but I imagine it's not that good - Tinchy is one of my least favourite UK rappers. Stooshe hopefully won't do a Parade with this, as it's much better and sounds fresh

It's alright. It's quite an uplifting instrumental this time (he's rapping about his career and past/future) but Pixie sounds very nasal on the chorus. It's certainly not a bad song it's just a bit average.
