Madge only worked with them because she's desperately trying to resurrect her US career though. If she actually thought "they will make good music for me" then I'll be shocked. Shakira is still relevant, Sal El Sol did well in Europe and She Wolf didn't do that badly so she doesn't need to work with people like LMFAO. It's sad to see her thinking she needs to.

There were rumours she was going to do a song with will.i.am and Britney Spears aswell (Big Fat Bass, Part II?).

Well if she records a Britney duet then she's guaranteed at least one US #1!

Yeah, that's true I suppose. Especially if it had will.i.am production. They love his beats over there (well, they love his beats almost everywhere in the world evidently ).

Or it could do like her duet with Beyonce and go to #1 on iTunes but miss it officially due to airplay.

Dancing On Ice:

2. Next to Me - Emeli Sandé

14. Sexy and I Know It - LMFAO

31. Dance With Me Tonight - Olly Murs

54. Dance With Me Tonight - Olly Murs

155. Happy - Leona Lewis

242. Suspicious Minds - Elvis Presley

247. Spice Up Your Life - Spice Girls

351. Crazy In Love - Beyoncé

406. Sexy And I Know It (I'm sexy and I know it) - The Kingston

492. YMCA - Village People

904. Happy - Leona Lewis

Out of all the three new releases, I can see Marcus Collins being the most frontloaded tbh

01. Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know 100%

02. Emeli Sande - Next To Me 79.2%

03. Nicki Minaj - Starships 71.7%.

10. Kelly Clarkson - What Dosen't Kill You 43.5%

11. Dappy & Brian May - Rockstar 39.1%

12. Tinchy Stryder & Pixie Lott - Bright Lights 35.9%

13. Stooshe - Love Me 35.2%

Looks like Tinchy Stryder & Pixie Lott will miss the top 10 :(

I think he's on AATW isn't he? He's one of the most successful artists on the record label. Most of the artists there struggle to get more than one hit. Agnes, Alexandra Stan, Cascada, etc. would get dropped before him. They've all had much worse flops than Rockstar.

AATW most likely signed a licensing deal with people like Alexandria Stan for Mr. Saxobeat. So for example they pay A.Stan a fixed fee and AATW own the rights for the UK and keep all proceeds from record sales. This increases the artists popularity in different countries with very low financial risk.

Dappy is signed to Takeover Entertainment (Run by Tinchy Stryder + Jay-Z) as well as All Around the World, so I don't really see him getting dropped anytime soon. To have a 05-01-02 discography before the album drops is quite an achievement, he's done better than label mates Jodie Connor and Dot Rotten at least.

The link to Rihanna is quite interesting too, so that collaboration could well have happened (if 'Rockstar' getting to #1 was really the condition);

Dappy - belongs to Takeover Entertainment - run by Tinchy Stryder - linked with Jay-Z / Director - Jay-Z runs Roc Nation - Rihanna signed to Roc Nation.

Dappy's management is Takeover Ent. which is run by Archie Lamb and Jack Foster, same guys who signed Tinchy. Different from a record label. They are the only two directors of the company. The Jay-Z connection is a joint venture between JF + AL + Tinchy and Jay-Z who created Takeover Roc Nation which focuses on finding UK/European acts to sign to the label. If Dappy gets dropped from AATW which seems very unlikely, then it's Takeover Entertainment's job to find Dappy another record label.

When is Loreen's 'Euphoria' available on iTunes? I genuinely believe, if it were to go ahead and win it's national final - which is looking likely - then she could get herself a top 40 hit, at LEAST after Eurovision has aired. But I'm sort of hoping she can manage to go top 200 before with the hype and stuff surrounding it.

I also believe that majority of Buzzjack will be all over it once they had heard it! :D

(This may or may not be a post to get people listening - like they were discussing whether to or not in the Eurovision forum ;P!)

Wow. You know your label politics!!! Well, this explains the Number 1 collaboration then. :D

Nice street team work Jonjo :P I think it going top 200 from hype in the UK is a bit of a pipe dream even though it would be amazing! Even Fairytale didn't make it into the top 1000 until after Eurovision and that had MASS hype around it from everywhere. IF, and it's a big if, Loreen was to win Melodifestivalen, and win Eurovision then I can't see why Euphoria wouldn't be a top 20 hit at least in the UK. Radio and TV would snub it of course and it would get no further, which would be absolutely criminal. If it wins MF but doesn't win ESC then hopefully it can be a top 75 hit regardless. It would be nice if AATW picked it up and gave it a proper push, it could quite easily go top ten here.

Anyway, it'll be on iTunes either alongside the Eurovision compilation as a cherry picked track, or three days after Eurovision once the momentum has sufficiently died off enough for it to debut 15/20 places lower than it would have done otherwise (a la Lena's Satellite :nocheer:). It would be huge across Europe regardless because they don't ban all things Eurovision from their airwaves, quite the opposite in fact.

soooooo what you're saying is that I need to pin my hopes on a flop album?

I really wish the UK didn't hate Eurovision so. Oh what I'd give to live in a world where radio hammered stuff like Popular, Shady Lady, Be My Valentine and well, a million other Eurovision songs. The worst thing is that Ireland is so obsessed with mirroring the UK that we've blanked Eurovision too despite it being like a national obsession and the winners consistently getting to the top 5. Ireland is stupid.

To be honest, I can't exactly see him doing well with his album, regardless of how well or badly his single do. I don't see why his singles won't continue to do well though, as long as he gets some good songs out.

That Loreen song sounds like Breathing and Beautiful People. Except for the bit between 0:40 and 0:46. Would've been more unique if the whole song was like that imo.

C'mon Tinchy!

I hop Nicki Minaj goes top 3 or higher next week, if she does she will be the first ever female rapper/MC to do so, surprised Missy Elliot or Ms Dynamite didn't break this record

"Get Ur Freak On" should have been a huge #1, stalled at 4 :( "Super Bass" actually kind of reminds me of it in a weird way, not in sound or chart run obviously.

She may have rapped on other songs, but Starships is 100% pop (despite what itunes may say). Poker Face was more rap than Starships

Lil' Kim hit #1 with Lady Marmalade, Missy Elliott already has a #1 with a featured appearance on Mel B's classic "I Want You Back", and lest we not forget that Britain's own Princess Superstar was top 3 on Mason's "Perfect (Exceeder)" 5 years ago!
