Asssuming that's a brand new Katy Perry song on 26th March, I can't see her *not* going to #1.

As for 9th April, I wish Lana would release 'Diet Mountain Dew' as her next single, instead.

12th Mar

Alexandra Burke feat Erick Morillo – Elephant - 4 (around a similar peak/run to Collide I think, there is very little hype around this)

Coldplay – Charlie Brown - 30 (already peaked unfortunately)

JLS – Proud (CDS) - 1

Labrinth - Last Time - 2 (I think JLS will get it this week, but will be below both Labrinth and Gotye the week after)

Madonna feat Nicki Minaj & MIA – Give Me All Your Luvin' (CDS) - 24 (complete flop, I can't see the CD aiding it that much )

Rihanna feat Jay-Z and Kanye West – Talk That Talk - 16 (if You Da One couldn't go top 10, then I doubt this can)

Christina Perri - Arms - 67 (one hit wonder and my god doesn't she know it)

Florence + The Machine - Never Let Me Go - 75+

9th Apr

Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans - 16

Rizzle Kicks - Traveller's Chant - 17

Usher – Climax - 3 (I dunno, it seems very 'different' and could possibly alienate his fanbase? I still think it will be a big hit though)

Number One - ???

very unclear at this stage really, looks like Gotye could hold on for six weeks though!

Edited by C.W

I think Madonna's next single will also miss the top10 but do better than give me all your lovin. I doubt the cd single release will have much impact on the later songs chart performance. I expect Gotye will stay at no1 this week.

I reckon another 2 weeks for Gotye, JLS might get a week, I haven't heard the newie from Labrinth yet, Katy Perry hmmm... I really don't know, it just depends if there are fake versions of the track that might hinder it from getting another #1.

At this stage I can't predict pass JLS.

I think the fake version of Turn Up The Music is going to hinder Chris Brown's track, it probably go the same way as Will.i.am and Gym Class Heroes. There is already a fake version on iTunes by The Beautiful People.

Love to see Madonna getting a #1 single with Girl Gone Wild, her album might give it a boost.

edit...

Just heard Labrinth's newie, not bad actually, only thing that's really bugging me its autotuned, it could grow on me.

Angel feat Wretch 32 - Go In Go Hard ??

Coldplay – Charlie Brown #30 (i.e. the peak it already has, it'll be long gone by then)

JLS – Proud (CDS) #2

Labrinth - Last Time #1

Madonna feat Nicki Minaj & MIA – Give Me All Your Luvin' (CDS) #37 (i.e. the peak it already has, unless there's a miracle turnaround)

26th Mar

All-American Rejects – Beekeeper's Daughter #68

Chris Brown - Turn Up The Music #3

Katy Perry - Part of Me #3 (sort of like 'Born This Way's success but on a bit of a smaller scale)

Plan B - iLL Manors #9

Number one - Labrinth

2nd Apr

Christina Perri - Arms NOWHERE

Florence + The Machine - Never Let Me Go #29 (I think it'll peak later on at this with use on adverts, in a soundtrack or performed somewhere)

Madonna – Girl Gone Wild #22 (she has truly lost it, this sucks)

Olly Murs - Oh My Goodness #7

Number one - Labrinth

9th Apr

Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans #33

Rizzle Kicks - Traveller's Chant #26

Usher – Climax #1

Number One - Usher

I'd absolutely love Last Time to be a big hit but I think people are massively overestimating it here - JLS will beat him to #1 (giving him a third #2 hit, nu Sash! in the making here?) and he'll drop off pretty quickly - he'll certainly be nowhere near #1 by his 3rd/4th week, I'd be surprised if he's still top 10 by then to be honest. I know Earthquake was a really long-lived hit but Last Time, as good as it is, pales in comparison to it and I don't think it'll be anywhere near as big.

I'll do this in a bit, just thought I'd throw that out there :kink:

Edited by Engelbré

I agree that Labrinth will probably miss out to JLS although I can't see anything being over 100k for any of these weeks. Katy Perry will probably go to #1 but otherwise it's set up for Gotye to hold firm until "We Are Young" takes over.

I have just heard Katy Perry on the radio again and i really cant make up my mind on if it will be a big number one or not. Similar with Alexandra Burke but as someone else said, i think Alex will perform similar to 'Collide' by Leona.

Fun feat. Janelle Monae - We Are Young

I must admit its a grower, there is no release date for it yet. It might follow Gotye's lead with 2 weeks plus at #1

Ok then, here's what I'm thinking...

Dot Rotten – Are You Not Entertained? - 45

Marcus Collins – Seven Nation Army (CDS) - 04

Rebecca Ferguson - Too Good To Lose - 75+

StooShe feat Travie McCoy - Love Me - 07

Taio Cruz feat Flo Rida – Hangover - 55

Tinchy Stryder feat Pixie Lott - Bright Lights - 06

- I think Hangover will climb throughout the coming weeks though and will eventually peak at number 4

Number One - Gotye feat. Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

12th Mar

Alexandra Burke feat Erick Morillo – Elephant - 1

Birdy - 1901 - 75+

Jay-Z & Kanye West - Balling In Paris - 22

Michael Kiwanuka - I'm Getting Ready - 75+

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds - Dream On (7”/12”/CDS) - 52

- Gotye's sales will be around 65,000, if Nicki has released Starships video then that will be number 2 and Elephant at number 1 on about 85,000

Number one - Alexandra Burke feat. Erick Morillo - Elephant

19th Mar

Angel feat Wretch 32 - Go In Go Hard - 49

Coldplay – Charlie Brown - 30

JLS – Proud (CDS) - 1

Labrinth - Last Time - 2

Madonna feat Nicki Minaj & MIA – Give Me All Your Luvin' (CDS) - 75+

Rihanna feat Jay-Z and Kanye West – Talk That Talk - 13

Will Young - Losing Myself - 44

- I don't see Give Me All Your Luvin' being able to get back top 75 even with physicals.

- Proud will be number 1 with 95,000, but will fall quite dramatically out of the charts.

- Labrinth will sell 80,000 but will remain stable in sales for a couple weeks.

Number one - JLS - Proud

26th Mar

All-American Rejects – Beekeeper's Daughter - 38

Chris Brown - Turn Up The Music - 2

Drake feat Lil' Wayne - The Motto - 39

Katy Perry - Part of Me - 1

Plan B - iLL Manors - 22

- Part Of Me will sell 125,000 if there is a video out in rotation at least a week before release. If not it will sell 85,000 but still get number 1.

- Turn Up The Music will sell between 70,000 and 80,000

- Plan B will have a poor return with iLL Manors and will have no longevity.

- Sean Paul will also have a minor hit this week with She Doesn't Mind in the top 30.

- This is the week we see Hangover climb into the top 10.

Number one - Katy Perry - Part Of Me

2nd Apr

Christina Perri - Arms - 55

Florence + The Machine - Never Let Me Go - 69

Madonna – Girl Gone Wild - 12

Olly Murs - Oh My Goodness - 05

- Oh My Goodness will have built up lots of airplay and Olly will have done quite a lot of promotion for Oh My Goodness which will see it climb up the charts in the coming weeks and peaking at 5 with healthy sales of about 300,000 in total.

- Part Of Me will sell 100,000+ again and remain at number 1.

Number one - Katy Perry - Part Of Me

9th Apr

Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans - 15

Rizzle Kicks - Traveller's Chant - 21

Usher – Climax - 4

- Train also release Drive By this week and surprise people by being a hit, initally charting at 17 and climbing throughout the coming weeks.

Number One - Katy Perry - Part Of Me

Somebody That I Used To Know, Starships, Wild Ones and Next To Me will all still be top 10 come the 9th April

I will do this later, but I agree that Labirinth is being overestimated completely, I wouldn't be surprised if it 'only' peaked at 3 actually!

Looking forward to the Plan B vs Chris Brown vs Katy Perry battle. :) All new top three that week?

I might be completely wrong but my gut feeling is that Labrinth's new single is going to be massive. Judging from my above predictions, I have 'Last Time' down as #1 for four weeks. Even if JLS do outsell Labrinth in their first week of release, JLS will tail off really quickly whilst 'Last Time' will most likely climb to no. 1 the following week and stick around a lot longer.

That said, I've completely forgotton about Nicki Minaj 'Starships' which could easily end up #1 when the music video is released. I think I'll have to adjust my predictions accordingly. :o

I'm suprised you said that because most of the feedback i've heard from 'Last Time' has been pretty negative. I personally love it (not as good as Earthquake, however) and find it incredibly uplifting, but I think the autotune and the fact it's following 'Earthquake' might stop it from being a big hit.
