PALOMA FAITH. If you want to waste your money on someone you don't like, at least waste it on her!

I will take this compromise!

I like this! :o I know alot of people have criticised but it's insanely catchy. The songs all sound quite cheap but they're very cheerful and uplifting. There's some nice Bajan elements in some of the songs, and it'd definitely be the album to play in the sunlight.

'I Know You Too Well' and 'Wrongside' are SO catchy! I'm worried about the album sales, though. Only £5, three top ten singles (including a #1), tons of Capital support and promotion, supporting Rihanna on tour and a DEAD sales climate and they're only #7 in the midweeks. :(

The album debuted in Ireland at #99 OUCH.

I can't see the album selling over 30,000 in the Uk either. No doubt it will not pass 10k this week and will plummet down the charts

It doesn't surprise me, I really can't see why someone would want to purchase a whole album by them. They just seem like a singles artist.
Quite random but Sparks has just clicked with me today! :D
I have to say the album is actually pretty good, it gets quite samey in places but they do successfully manage to lump in copious amounts of swag as well as a sweeter side to the Bajan island side. I can see why it's not selling massively though, as Jack said they are definitely more of a singles artist, it'd probably peak at something horrific like #27 if sales weren't in a massive dip right now!
i just cant get into these, saw them on the lottery and was hardly an exciting performance much better material needed if theyre going to stick around i think.
The album is alright. Nothing to shout about though, but it's nice enough, I guess. Nothing else sticks out in the same way the three singles do though (although 'Lick Ya Down' is questionable). 'Wrongside' is lovely though and I can see it growing on me.

OUCH.

They're not a singles act as has been mentioned but with the abysmal sales they surely should've gone top 10 after three top 10 singles including a number 1? THat won't even be 10k sold!

OUCH :(

The price was low also which I thought would encourage sales. I can see this selling less than 25,000 tbh and I can't see them even opening their sales this week with over 9,000.

They must have literally sold next to nothing since they were #6 in the mids to end that low. Didn't they even climb in the mids from #7 or 8?

They climbed from #7 to #6. :( And ended up at #14. They'll be out of the top 40 next week, I imagine and I can't see any other singles boosting it (they're all pretty catchy but none stand out). For an album selling at £5 that had three top ten singles launching it, plus the fact they have a deal with Capital FM and sales are dire, this is a disaster. I love this band, too. :(

I wonder if they'll get a second album? Usually debut albums are the biggest sellers, and the second one is supposed to be the flop.

I'd imagine they'd get a second album as their singles haven't exactly done terribly. They just need to change their sound and polish it off a bit more (instead of watered down versions of 'What's My Name?', 'Right There' or 'I'm Into You' etc...)

Such a great little pop album but i did have doubts that they would be able to turn their single success into album sales though :( I mean if 3 Top 10 singles and a £5 price tag can't get them into the Top 10 albums then frankly nothing will - I thought they would hang on though around 9 or 10 especially with iTunes doing their 'complete my album' bit to everyone who bought their singles [it only cost me £3.11 on iTunes  ]

The album is clearly going to plummet to something like #56 next week - Time to quickly forget this era Cover Drive and get a new single out!
