So her artist forum was archived but we still love her, and according to Twitter Delta finished filming a music video yesterday, hopefully for the lead single from her LONG awaited and delayed fourth album during which time she split up with Brian McFadden and started and finished a relationship with Nick Jonas. Lyrically then the album should be all over the place. In more current Delta news I was scrolling through the new releases in HMV today and in pride of place on the new Michael Bolton album 'Gems' is a sticker that says featuring collaborations with Seal and Delta Goodrem. Yes she's still relevant enough in the UK to warrant a promotional sticker!

 

Whether album number four will ever see the light of day here after 'Delta' didn't in 2007 is anybody's guess but I really hope that it will. I'd love to see her back in the charts and on radio playlists, even if it is only the album chart and the Radio 2 playlist. And needless to say, after a five year gap between releases, this is pretty much my most anticipated album for many years.

I heard "Born to Try" on music channels when it was released however long ago, and have also heard "Believe Again", but I don't remember how either go :lol: "Lost without You" is fantastic though, so if you'd like to suggest to me any of her material similar to it, I'll give it a listen.

So so so excited for new stuff, I got into her in early-mid 2009 so I've been waiting nearly 3 years, I can't imagine what it's like for those who have been into her all along :drama:

 

Also Delta related, I found my old CD single of Innocent Eyes the other day, must've been one of the first I ever had - I would've only been 6 at the time :lol:

"Delta" was a fantastic album that deserved far more recognition.

 

I tend to prefer her singles more to her album tracks, but she has got some absolute gems amongst the non-singles

I must admit, I've never actually listened to Delta aside from Believe Again, but the rest of her material is excellent, Electric Storm in particular. I find it hard to make a good distinction between her singles and non-singles, as I didn't know which the main singles were when getting the albums, which in some ways is better, it means I've come to love all of them.

She's easily my favourite solo artist ever, and as such it's painful being a loon and waiting years between releases. I'm hoping she still pushes out non album b-sides on iTunes or via physical singles, she's got so many stunning tracks that never made it onto the three albums.

 

I can't believe she was more or less a one album wonder in the UK, she's so talented - grr at Briankerrygate runing it all for her :(

It'll be interesting to see how the new single/album ties in with The Voice, and I really hope Delta makes her way over here this time.

I love Delta, she has a beautiful voice. Can't wait for the next album!!

Innocent Eyes blew my mind on the first listen through the album. Prior to buying it I'd only heard Born To Try, In My Own Time and Lost Without You so safe to say I wasn't expecting a gutsy mid-tempo teenager does Tori Amos style song. Incredible and still my favourite single that she released in the UK seeing as Believe Again criminally never made it over here.

 

I'm glad this thread has been popular, she still has a lot of goodwill, I really feel like she could get another hit album here at least. Not huge or anything but a top 40 perhaps.

Has she even recorded new material? She's been absent for what feels like eternity.

She doesn't actually have any album tracks I don't like. 3 albums in, I'd say that's quite an accomplishment for me. However I find her B sides notoriously crap. I like the hidden track "Nobody Listened" but that's as far as the bonus songs goes for me.

Such a fabulous artist. "Delta" is an underrated gem!

I was disappointed Delta was never released in this country (only on Import but that was expensive!) Looking forward to something new from her, it's been a while.

I loved her first two albums.

I do love Delta. Innocent Eyes is half fillverville, Mistaken Identity is pretty much perfect (with the wrong singles released completely :arrr:) and I only liked the singles and 'Brave Face' from the last album. I hope we see her again in the UK one day but somehow I doubt it...
