S&S finally cracks the top 100. Even considering the artist behind it I was surprised it never got there before. Eyes Open is doing bizarrely well.

I'm quite surprised at how well 'Eyes Open' is doing so far! :o Won't complain though. :D
'Primadonna' is Scott Mills' record of the week this week. I hope it's the UK's record of the week when it's released!!! (Although i'll be happy with top 10)

He has the best taste. Seriously, his records of the week are almost always fabulous.

Alors on danse was his best one! :D

Nicki Minaj is releasing a new song, Beez in the Trap, in a few hours apparently.

As exciting as this is, i'd much rather wait and hear the whole album. I hated how i knew like 50% of the songs off Born This Way before it was released!

Is Run Daddy Run by Miranda Lambert in the top 1000 at all? It's on the Hunger Games soundtrack too, same as Taylor Swift's. I'm doubtful, but I hope her amazingness can carry her into the top 1000, for some reason it's album only in the US where she's quite big but it's available seperately here.

No, only:

41. Taylor Swift - Eyes Open

98. Taylor Swift - Safe & Sound

477. Maroon 5 - Come Away to the Water

590. Birdy - Just a Game :o

778. The Civil Wars - Kingdom Come

Are these all brand new songs?

I don't mind really. It's not too unusual for people of her genre to release that many songs before the album, so I just get used to it happening.

DAMN UK AND THEIR IGORANT TASTE :drama:

Thanks!

Yep, all brand new and recorded just for the film. Kid Cudi has a song on there too, called The Ruler And The Killer :D

Cool, I might listen to some of them. :D

I'm a bit surprised at how low some of them are then. Like Birdy is pretty popular here. And you'd think after a smash like Moves Like Jagger that Maroon 5 would be a bit higher than they are with a new song. Not saying they should shoot straight into the top 10, but maybe like top 200 lol.

I agree - Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and Birdy are horrendous :kink:

Moves Like Jagger was released about 7 months ago, any chance of them directly capitalising on it on name alone is long gone.

Disappointing to see that Arcade Fire's contribution to the Hunger Games soundtrack "Abraham's Daughter" isn't one of the higher entries :( it's track 1 as well!
It's all about Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Taylor Swift, The Civil Wars and Glen Hansard, bitches. Kid Cudi and Maroon 5 too, but less.

Miranda Lambert >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> pretty much everyone else in the world bar Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Lady Gaga.

*loon moment*

i'm very glad for the new entries in Top 100!! Especially for "College" and "The Band Perry". They have very good songs.

Wonder when the UK will be treated to the second Minaj single, 'Right by My Side' featuring Chris Brown - has been released today over in the US.

I was under the impression that 'Roman Reloaded' with Lil Wayne would be the second single, but I think going with Brown has more dance/pop appeal - something she needs to stick with before the album drops. So three promotional singles, two actual singles and another unconfirmed-what-it-is single to come - 6 tracks and we'll still have 16 more to look forward on April 2.

Really climbed over the past 24 hours or so - should go top 75 this week (hopefully) :)
