Like I said in the opening post, the assigning country thing would only happen if everyone was up for it. As they aren't it won't happen.

It was a suggestion I wasn't expecting to be supported by all.

I'm 100% up for it although I don't think the assigning country thing is necessary, I'd just let people vote for their favourites.

Yeah that semi is needed. The three song elimination was part of what made BJSC V a hoot!

As for this. I still cringe at the fact that I did that, was that my decision too, or was I following some rule that the final had to be 24 max? I can't remember but I'm suitably ashamed if it was my decision  The embarrassment for the three that missed out!

This seems like fun. I hope it goes up to X. X was my favourite contest !
Yes, and let Headhunted actually qualify this time! My one regret is not seeing how that would have done in the final, it had enough supporters to take it low top ten/mid-table I'm sure of it.
I'm guessing though some of the songs back then are a hit now so will have more support now as prior to back then which will change some things a bit.

IIRC that was all your choice :kink:

A lot of the early entries were hits prior to BJSC entry. The notable exceptions being Love Song and I Don't Know which really kick started the trend of entering future hits.

AH right I forgot that the veto wasn't in place at the beginning of the contest. Would this mean they will most likely end up lower than their initial position as with new countries such as myself finding a new discovery from it and love it and hence giving it more points than the uninspired entries?

Would a lot of people bother voting for 2 contests at the same time (especially with this one not counting towards anything too)?

Your questions can only really be answered in a month or so when we actually give this a go. BJSC is notoriously fickle but I can't see some of the early stuff doing as well as it originally did absent of the 'I know this, here have 12' votes of old.
Looks interesting. Didn't completely understand everything, but I'll give it a go! ^_^

Ahem, Tattoo!

(Not that it was much of a HIT in the end but it was along those lines.)

I just picked the first two that exploded to number 1 post contest. I don't even remember Tattoo being released!

I would love to do this, considering the amount of times I didn't bother voting because I hadn't made the final. Five years? Wow that is such a long time...
I should have sent Love Song far earlier too, I'd been loving it in tandem with Believe Again since November 2007. Instead I apparently decided not to send it until I'd got a Natasha Bedingfield album track and a former UK top five hit that really wouldn't have been a discovery to anyone out of the way first.

I'm back from Portugal! (Hence the the posting for the first time in over a week) As promised this shall be starting soon.

This weekend in fact ^_^

I'd be interested. :D

Would you not to the first 5 considering the fact Buzzjack is 5? :kink:
