March 22, 201213 yr How about 'Starz in their Eyes' by Just Jack? It peaked at #2 in early 2007 IIRC. He was a bit of a forgotten one-hit-wonder. He was not a one hit wonder in the end! It did look that way though until 'Embers' and 'The Day I Died' came along...
March 22, 201213 yr He was not a one hit wonder in the end! It did look that way though until 'Embers' and 'The Day I Died' came along... 'Embers' That and Starz In Their Eyes were and are brilliant but his others have got a bit old. (I wonder where he vanished to after 'The Day I Died'...) The Bravery - An Honest Mistake! Beaut! I certainly haven't forgotten this, easily somewhere up there in my favourite songs of all time.
March 22, 201213 yr Lemar - The Way Love Goes Gabriella Cilmi - On A Mission I'm sure noone would believe they were Top 10 hits. (despite me loving both!)
March 22, 201213 yr IgQ2v1CGVU4 Got to #7 as recently as 2010, proceeding to drop to #53 in its second week and then out - I'm sure quite a lot of people on here will remember this, this being a chart forum, but it'd probably be a bit of a 'WTF was this' moment to most. I remember this, and 'This day', which peaked at 10. Focus just randomly popped in at number 3 at the midweeks!
March 22, 201213 yr On the subject on Emma's Imagination, how about Pepper & Piano? Pepper & Piano - You Took My Heart #7 n83jxEyt6OY The song Adele didn't record for her album '21'. Pepper & Piano were clearly ahead of their time. :D
March 22, 201213 yr Personally I don't think the songs from that Must Be The Music qualify. I guess they do technically, but they weren't really singles, we're they?
March 22, 201213 yr I would nominate this as a potential contender for the most forgotten top 3 (not top 10) hit EVER: JMgSG0C2ee8&ob=av2e It reached #3 in February 1999, largely due to a combination of the big acts still being asleep after Christmas, her 90s fame as an actress (notably in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air), and the fact that Will Smith was on it (at the time, he was the biggest rapper in the world in terms of selling power). The YouTube video for it has 25,000 views, which might not seem so bad, but most of the songs mentioned here have far more than that. According to Comparemyradio no radio station has played it in the last 30 days, and from Lastfm statistics it's only had a couple of dozen plays in the last week from the accounts on there. She also had a top 10 hit before this with Everytime (#6) which is probably equally forgotten.
:D tuuuuuuuuuuuuune. i remember when it came out they reminded me of adele!

March 22, 201213 yr 'This Day' and 'You Took My Heart' were both really good. 'Focus' not so much. (The reason I posted the latter is that it only had one week top 40 but 'You Took My Heart' had 2 and 'This Day' had 3 so I thought they were slightly less likely to be forgotten). I seem to recall 'Focus' even going to #1 on iTunes, or very close anyway.
March 22, 201213 yr (I wonder where he vanished to after 'The Day I Died'...) [insert unfunny death joke here] :P If anyone outside the chart forum had to name an LMFAO song, I don't think they'd remember this forgotten gem from before they were famous juYSqSicV_U Went to #9 in 2009
March 22, 201213 yr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1uqlUaDawg It may only be a couple of years old, but he disappeared after the follow up to this flopped. Reached number 10. Loved this :) Got to number 9 in 2003. I still list Stacie as my all time favourite singer, but I've not heard anyone talk about her in a looooooooong time :(
March 22, 201213 yr They were songs that got into the top 10, so they were top 10 hits? Hence why I said, technically they qualify. :P I wouldn't base one weekly performance as something that really stands any chance of being remembered, unlike the other tracks in here. Just what I think though...
March 22, 201213 yr Got to number 9 in 2003. I still list Stacie as my all time favourite singer, but I've not heard anyone talk about her in a looooooooong time :( This was one of the very few top 10 hits of 2003 that actually climbed in there wasn't it?
March 22, 201213 yr God yes, Stacie Orrico! its always been a shame 'More To Life' couldnt have given her a duo of top 10 hits
