April 6, 201213 yr Famous Last Words is underrated, a very good follow up to Black Parade imo, I wasn't expecting it to go top 10 at all though!
April 6, 201213 yr "Famous Last Words" is indeed excellent, it was the song that turned me around to the whole album actually. Given it sank very quickly and "Teenagers" did better as the fourth single I can understand how it might be forgotten though. "I Don't Love You", the third single, made #13 as well and that would have been a VERY forgotten top 10 had it made it. Another great song though.
April 7, 201213 yr A bit of a Steps theme. this song charted at #10 the week h&claire got to #3 with their debut DJ jvKrzQyZMBI Also H&Claire had a couple of minor top ten hits This one charted at number 8 Hht82WEfymA and this one at number 10 MKnjhV-2O1o
April 7, 201213 yr Too much love for 'Life Got Cold'! One of my all time favourite Girls Aloud songs, the lyrics in it are so sad but beautiful...it is one of those songs of theirs though that people forget, especially when 99% of the time the first song that comes to people's mind when you mention them is usually 'Love Machine', 'Call The Shots' or 'The Promise', and when you remind them of it they're like 'I love that song!'
April 7, 201213 yr My Chemical Romance/ Famous Last Words #8 in 2007 8bbTtPL1jRs Jamie T/ Calm Down Dearest #9 in 2007 IZvYkZfAtq0I completely agree with these two songs. Such a shame though. They're probably my two favourite songs from the respective artists :( (Ok Jamie T's is 'Sticks & Stones' but 'Calm Down Dearest' runs it close)
April 7, 201213 yr Is "Life Got Cold" the one where in their early gigs the audience would start singing "Wonderwall" instead because the chorus line was so similar?
April 7, 201213 yr Is "Life Got Cold" the one where in their early gigs the audience would start singing "Wonderwall" instead because the chorus line was so similar?Yes. It's easily my least favourite/memorable Girls Aloud single though.
April 7, 201213 yr Is "Life Got Cold" the one where in their early gigs the audience would start singing "Wonderwall" instead because the chorus line was so similar? Yes Gallagher is officially cited as a co-writer on it, well according to wikipedia anyway
April 7, 201213 yr I agree about "Life Got Cold" being forgotten.....shame it has been forgotten by their feeble single "The Promise". I LOVE this one of theirs from 2006.......shame it's ignored and fell out the chart like a stone: lSrymuib4xY Absolutely beautiful......their voices work well in this song.
April 7, 201213 yr 'Whole Lotta History' is seriously in my top 5 Girls Aloud songs. It's beautiful and completely underrated! :( I was gutted that it dropped so fast out the chart and am even more depressed to find out it's total is about 60k :manson:
April 7, 201213 yr Whole Lotta History is about the only song from Girls Aloud that I've actually really genuinely loved.
April 7, 201213 yr Anyone remember this? 34HWz_2Qo2Q #5 in 2008. Remember it, hate it. Ironik's other top 10 hit (which is a lot better) is probably equally forgotten: -7Idlif7zCY #3 in 2009.
April 7, 201213 yr ^ They are both awful, no need to try and argue which one is better than the other. I guess Ironik in general has been forgotten because of the legion of British rappers that came after the two years or so after him - all of which are surely better. My sister was listening to a lot of music like that Stay With Me song at the time. You know, those awful helium-styled vocals. Horrendous stuff. What is the appeal?
April 7, 201213 yr Still annoys me somewhat that he had them two songs go top 10 when the far superior 'Falling In Love' barely scraped the top 40 (at #40!) :nocheer:
April 7, 201213 yr I loved Tiny Dancer, I loved a lot of songs around the time of it's release though; such a classic period for music imo. Stay With Me was complete dirge, I'm glad it's considered forgotten. :D (Unfortunately, I could never forget such a vile song. :() I don't think I've ever even heard Falling In Love, though I can vaguely remember it randomly reaching the Top 40!
April 7, 201213 yr 2008 was good, but imo 2009 was the best decade for music in the noughties. Mostly for Queen Keri 'Knock You Down' Speaking of Queen Keri, Ciara's #4 smash in 2005, 'Oh!' is a forgotten gem. Doesn't deserve to be though. It's in my Ciara top 5! :( LSYCI4K5qGM
April 7, 201213 yr "Tiny Dancer" what a joke.....saying that, anyone remember this from late 2007: "Heartbroken" T2 ft Jodie Aisha....I was sick of hearing this on the bus journey to and from work - I think now it's forgotten all bar a few nostalgics: UTVeuMJd83o&ob=av3n To me after Alexandra Burke...the best winner of X Factor Shayne Ward has been forgotten....I doubt anyone knows these from 2007: "No You Hang Up" 6fI_SyKGef4&ob=av2n "Breathless" - yes the lyrics are cheesy to this, but I do like it. aDHqPdybUOA
April 7, 201213 yr I disagree about Heartbroken. Such a classic and I still occasionally hear it on nights out and on the occasional radio show too! :o
April 7, 201213 yr I actually did really like Shayne Ward, it was all fairly cheesy/generic pop/R&B but I did love No U Hang Up, Breathless, That's My Goal and even If That's Ok With You! Especially No U Hang Up  As for Heartbroken, I loved it at the time but it was EVERYWHERE and I am so fed up of it still, it really put me off for good hearing it so much.
