March 22, 201213 yr How about 'Under The Thumb' by Amy Studt. she returned with a second album a couple of years back which went top 40 briefly on itunes i think but failed to chart overall
March 22, 201213 yr Oh yeah Amy Studt too  Criminally underrated, I adored her when I was like 7 for whatever reason, still listen to Under The Thumb and Misfit now and again! While we're in the early-mid 00s forgotten gems zone, Delta Goodrem's Innocent Eyes is probably quite forgotten but it's SO amazing
March 22, 201213 yr Yeah, I echo the You Took My Heart love, gorgeous. Wish that had got proper radio support and a proper release, deserved to be a huge hit as opposed to a one week wonder. As for the most forgotten top 3 hit (by the general public, chart nuts probably remember them all!), Boy You Knock Me Out is a good call, I'd also add Fierce's Sweet Love 2K, the aformentioned Move Your Body by Eiffel 65, Son Of Dork's Ticket Outta Loserville, Craig David's All The Way, Lee Ryan's Army Of Lovers, A1's Everytime/Ready Or Not and half of Ronan Keating's random country covers (The Last Goodbye, I Hope You Dance, She Believes In Me etc...). Ask 100 people in the street and I'd be surprised if anybody remembered any of these. The sad thing is that I LOVE Move Your Body and Everytime!
March 22, 201213 yr While we're in the early-mid 00s forgotten gems zone, Delta Goodrem's Innocent Eyes is probably quite forgotten but it's SO amazing  I didn't really want to put that but looking back I guess it's not the most fondly remembered top ten hit of all time by the British public, more fool them :( I doubt many would be able to hum the fellow #9 smash Out Of The Blue either

I love Lost Without You as well - the whole album is full of memories for me.
March 22, 201213 yr Stuck entered the charts at 11, then moved up to 9 the following week. (There's Gotta Be) More To Life entered at number 12, whereas Hilary Duff's So Yesterday entered at number 9 the same week. Where's the justice? Haha.

These are forgotton for a reason!!! I shamefully kinda liked Ronan's cover of 'She Believes In Me'
March 22, 201213 yr Jessica Simpson - I Wanna Love You Forever (Before she became a character) Lolly - Big Boys Dont Cry
March 22, 201213 yr Clearly Stacie Orrico isn't that forgotten if the mere mention of her leads to loads of people going "OMG Stacie Orrico!111" It also has almost 7 million views on YouTube, which is very high for a song that was out before YouTube even existed. Some others off the top of my head: dnS7RswoZyc This group were AMAZING, yet disappeared after a wave of hype dissipated in early 2001. Got to #6 in January that year. A5z6k-69IYI Random indie band that were hyped by the usual suspects (NME, etc). This got to #10 also in early 1999. Z75jOaaB5BM A song that sneaked into the top 10 off the back of his #1 Be Faithful, #9 in 2004. -5qP0JxI5XU #8 in 2003, this was one of those odd rap songs that was much bigger here than in the US, and Obie Trice never got close to having another hit of this size before or after. NK-P18ot7PU One-hit wonder dance vocalist, #5 with this Roxy Music cover in early 1999. Apparently she had something to do with Lucid of I Can't Help Myself fame... March 22, 201213 yr Innocent Eyes, what a tune! I love Lost Without You as well - the whole album is full of memories for me. Don't get me started, it's my all time favourite album  These are forgotton for a reason!!! It amuses me to know that Everytime is something of a pop classic in Norway but A forgotten mere footnote in chart history here...Look at them performing it in 2010 at a summer festival there, everyone knows the words  It had an excellent chart run there too. oC2u3T0K0rw Imagine them performing it to a big family crowd here, looks of  and  all around would be a given. It's a real shame that it wasn't given more airplay support here, it does have a real 'classic' sound to it imo and I'd happily rank it amongst my personal top 40 of 1999, possibly top 20.
March 22, 201213 yr GkIZXKJmZ38 I wouldn't know if this is forgotten at all as it was released a LONG, LONG time before I started following the charts (in 2003 to be precise) but I was shocked when I found out Turin Brakes has a top 5 hit. I only knew them from a couple of songs off their flop 2010 album 'Outbursts'. 'Pain Killer' only spent 3 weeks in the chart and aside from its peak didn't do a whole lot better than their handful of other top 40 hits, none of which made the top 20. March 22, 201213 yr You never hear Kandi - Don't Think I'm Not anymore :( 9-9-13-19-23-29-35-36-36-53->10
March 22, 201213 yr The Bravery - An Honest Mistake! Beaut! This  although I only discovered its existence very recently which doesn't bode well for it :( I would say this: 59Z9DIH_FAA&ob=av2n amazing song, but forgotten now :( as is the equally amazing Munich... theres probably so many more that I love, mainly from 2005-7 era, such an underrated era :(

Ask 100 people in the street and I'd be surprised if anybody remembered any of these. The sad thing is that I LOVE Move Your Body and Everytime! I actually really liked both of Son Of Dork's singles. Eddie's Song (which is better imo) is sadly forgotten too. :( The Darkness' Love Is Only A Feeling & Is It Just Me? can be added to the list of forgotten Top 10 hits too. :(
March 22, 201213 yr Some others off the top of my head: dnS7RswoZyc This group were AMAZING, yet disappeared after a wave of hype dissipated in early 2001. Got to #6 in January that year. OMG I actually LOVED this!
March 22, 201213 yr I was just checking the charts in early 2005 as I was thinking there might have been a few more WTF?! top 10 hits other than Dana Rayne because of the dismal sales, and was reminded of this Busted/McFly clone group managed to get to #8. Wasn't one of them in Point Break a few years before?! He's like the Jodi Albert of boybands. 4XNTGfYUgGY Speaking of Point Break, we might as well put their top 10 hit here too - Stand Tough! JxhUjrJhPyw
March 22, 201213 yr I actually really liked both of Son Of Dork's singles. Eddie's Song (which is better imo) is sadly forgotten too. :( It's so forgotten even I don't remember it, genuinely drawing a blank! How about a couple of unrelated Italian dance songs from 2002? I love and bought both on single but it's fair to say I've not heard either of them on the radio for a decade; Hx6WuGfOV0Q&ob n6ZMSaWNdp8 Dove deserved SO much more than #9 and swiftly out :nocheer: For some reason I was thinking it was going to be a huge top 5 prior to its release! The follow up, Acrobats (also brilliant) failed to go top 40... Oh, and now for my End of year #1 from 2000, I know she has some fans on Buzzjack but the general public would draw a blank I'm sure; vyi4nLbJ_QU
March 22, 201213 yr And prior to Eurovision notoriety and their shock, but not necessarily forgotten, second UK top five hit Flying The Flag (For You), I wonder how many people knew or could recall Scooch's first, from over 7 years earlier; e46cJCnEqfk Nice pop song but what a shame that it wasn't For Sure that had the top five status instead of this.
