Definitely one of the fastest climbs due to a new video release i've seen in a long while.

I wonder if 212 will be pushed out then or will it swap with Turn Up The Music before Jessie catches up? Will she make top 10 officially..

Twinnings tea has a lot to answer for! On the subject, there's seems to be a lot of ad boosted songs in the chart just now, with The Voice and BGT propelling random tracks in to the chart as well X Factor stylee it almost feels like christmas!

Capital FM play it a lot, so that's probably the main reason it's so high.

I think I smell another #1 for Jessie. I am so suprised it is so high already, apart from the video premiere, there has been no promo at all for this so far, so its brilliant that it is so high already.

 

I wonder if Jessie J will perform 'LaserLight' when The Voice reaches the live semi finals. The track is likely to be higher up iTunes by then so one performance on primetime TV could give the track a massive sales boost. The chart w/e 29th April could be an interesting one (Tulisa is only released that day I think?)

'Call Me Maybe' could end up really high on the year end chart at this rate, its sales won't decerase by much this week (wouldn't be that surprised to see them increase, we haven't had any sales info all week after all).

 

I still think fun. will end up high on that list as well, as much as I didn't expect them to be falling away from #1 at this point, it still has to be taken into account that they have very little airplay at the moment and I'm confident they're going to be top 10 for a LONG time and they'll eventually get to #1 for at least a week.

I reckon if anything 'We Are Young' will do similar to 'The A Team' by Ed Sheeran. It might not get to no. 1 but will most likely spend 10+ weeks inside the top 10 floating up and down. It's also the type of song I can imagine people murdering on The X Factor once that rolls around in the Autumn, so this is a song that's going to be selling for a long time to come.

I agree. I can't see We Are Young spending less than 10 weeks in the top 10. It's just amazing that it's #2 on iTunes and not even in the top 50 on radio airplay, and it's an artist with very little fanbase atm.

Carly's doing incredible to be increasing on Fun. already! Really happy that they are the top 2 though! Hopefully Nicki will be back at #3 soon and also Jessie in the top 10 soon! :D

Oh that's interesting but then it is the weekend now so may be that is having an effect? It actually wouldn't surprise me if Call Me Maybe ended up in the year end top 10 to be honest. I also wouldn't be shocked if its sales have held up well and that it potentially stops Conor next week either.

 

I do hope you're right about fun getting to #1 but I think we are a few weeks off that considering its barely had any TV/radio play yet (top 50 wise anyway).

Fun will obviously climb to #1 at some point, maybe not next week but it is very likely to be huge going into late Spring.
