That Microsoft advert is doing wonders for Alex Clare - I remember getting 'Too Close' in 2011 at some point, I believe it was iTunes 'Free single of the week' - such a powerful voice, the track itself sounds like dubstep meets soul; works perfectly. Would be thrilled to see it crack the top 40 officially either this week or next.

I ALMOST saw him live in February supporting Caan, ex-Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, but he pulled out at the last minute, apparently due to illness. Obviously he was just busy getting famous!

I actually really liked it, I thought it was a remix of a Black Keys track at first given how similar his voice sounds to Dan Auerbach.
